Our school is a specialized language center for the teaching of the Italian language and culture to foreigners of every nationality and age. The school is located at Palazzo Zoboli, an ancient building in the historical town center. It is a school with a welcoming and familiar atmosphere, ideal for learning Italian in a relaxed and fun way. Our goal is to spread the Italian language and culture.
- Italian Language and Cooking Courses:
The Italian language and cooking courses last one week and consist of daily classes of four hours each. Each lesson starts with an introduction to the common words and phrases used in the kitchen followed by the hands-on experience of preparing a meal together with the chef.
You will learn to prepare the typical plates of Reggio Emilia: tortelli, lasagne, cappelletti, erbazzone, different types of condiments for pasta, and traditional desserts. We will eat what we have cooked together for lunch. We can also visit local wine cellars, Parmesan cheese producers and balsamic vinegar producers.
It is also possible to go to the market with the Italian teachers to buy the necessary ingredients for the day and to learn the way in which to ask for and purchase goods from the market in Italian.
The courses are held at the agriturismo “La Razza” in Canali where rooms are available for overnight accommodation. The agriturismo is located 4 kms from the center of Reggio Emilia and is easily reached by bus or by bicycle.
- Reggio Emilia accommodation:
Our school offers free assistance to find accommodation. All types of accommodation, except farmhouses, are located near the school and are reachable with public transport. Accommodation is reserved starting from the Sunday before the beginning of the course until the Saturday morning following the end of the course, unless students request a different time period.
* Room in a flat with other students or with a family - students can also stay in a flat by themselves. The price includes utilities (water, electricity, gas and heating). The owner provides bed linen and towels. Students are responsible to pay the owner within the second day upon their arrival. Students must let the owner know the day and the time of their arrival at least one week in advance.
* Farmhouse - a “farmhouse” is a properly equipped farm in the country. It is the perfect accommodation for those who wish to study, relax and enjoy nature. Payment will be made according to the farmhouse keeper’s terms.
* Hotel and Bed & Breakfast - payment will be made according to the hotel keeper’s terms.
* Youth Hostel - the Youth Hostel is located in a prestigious building in the historical center. It also has family bedrooms. Payment will be made according to the youth hostel keeper’s terms.
Faculty Information:
It is brought into being by the idea of two teachers, who graduated in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature with a wide experience in the teaching field.
Other Activities:
During your stay, the owners of the agriturismo can offer many possible activities such as: golf, horseback riding, mountain biking, and nature hikes through the Reggiana hills.

The public bus takes people from Reggio Emilia train station directly to the agriturismo, located at 4 km from the town.
