Our school offers a unique possibility to combine high quality French language studies with outdoor mountain activities. Our center is located in Chamonix Mont-Blanc in the Alps and is the only French language school in France where the students have direct access to the ski slopes. In the winter, conditions for skiing and snowboarding are among the best in the world, and in the summer activities like climbing, mountain biking and hiking attract an international crowd of adventurous people.
The intensive French courses are given by the CUEF from Université Stendhal who have more than 100 years of experience in teaching French as a foreign language. Our students have the possibility to take the international French diploma, TCF. Our school also offers an apartment booking service, where the students can choose to stay on their own or in shared flats. Our center is member of the French quality organization Fle.fr.
Our school makes it possible for you to combine language studies with skiing or surfing. Our courses include:
* French in Chamonix Mont-Blanc. This town in the French Alps - considered the capital of skiing and mountaineering - attracts people from all over the world. It is an ideal place to study French if you love skiing, climbing or any other alpine adventures.
* Spanish in San Sebastián. Consistent surf conditions are found on beaches and reefs in and around the beautiful seaside town of San Sebastián located in the lush Basque region of Northern Spain. A stay here offers a great mix of sport, language and traditional Spanish lifestyle.
* Spanish in Tenerife. Powerful waves hit the Canary Islands all year around. Our school in Puerto de la Cruz on the volcanic island of Tenerife is a perfect place to learn Spanish with great conditions for surfing, scuba diving and other ocean activities in a climate best described as eternal spring.
To learn a language properly you need to spend time outside the classroom. It is important to practice the things you have learned in class "for real". Our school arranges a number of activities to facilitate the practice of spoken French. In addition to giving the students the opportunity to speak French, these activities give an insight into the French way of life and the history and culture of Chamonix and the Haute Savoie region.
Student Activity Group - a group of students is organized during the course to arrange social events, excursions and other common activities after school hours. Some favorites are:
- Ski picnics
- Ski competitions
- Indoor climbing nights
- Dinners
- Theme parties
- Excursions to other ski areas such as Verbier in Switzerland and Courmayeur in Italy.
Faculty Information:
All our teachers in Chamonix are French and teach their mother tongue. They are motivated and educated for their task and all have university degrees and experience in teaching French as a foreign language. All teachers are employed by the CUEF and have been carefully chosen to work in Chamonix.
Other Activities:
Our school arranges a number of activities to facilitate the practice of spoken French. In addition to giving the students the opportunity to speak French, these activities give an insight into the French way of life and the history and culture of Chamonix and the Haute Savoie region.
A selection of activities that the school organizes during the courses:
* A discovery game in the streets of Chamonix where you get to know the town and its people.
* Cinema nights with French films.
* Visits to and lectures from local companies and organizations.
* Visit to the Alpine museum in Chamonix and other exhibitions in the region.
* Visit to Annecy - known as "Little Venice" of the French Alps.
* A day trip to a vineyard at the Geneva Lake.
* Cheese and wine tasting.

The school has three classrooms equipped with TV and video. Internet access, a modern and well equipped library.
