Situated between pine woods and paradise beaches, the touristic town of Le Pradet has preserved the authentic charm of meridional villages. Its protected environment and year-round bright sunny weather contributes to make Le Pradet a real peaceful haven, rich of splendid panoramas.
The Center is situated at the "Mas de l'Artaude", 8 km East of Toulon. Overlooking the sea, the 3 hectares property is composed of numerous pavilions built in a shaded park, impregnated of Mediterranean essences. The Center includes pavilions composed of bedrooms, an infirmary, a restaurant, a TV/Video room, games & library rooms and classrooms. The Center offers a swimming pool, a football field and a mini-golf course.
Faculty Information:
All our teachers are of French nationality with French as their mother tongue, many of them have lived and taught French abroad and speak several languages, therefore relating easily to different cultures.
They are graduated from university and have experiences abroad teaching French as a foreign language. Constant updating of teaching methods. The teaching staff are supervised by our Director of Studies who conducts regular meetings and class observations.
Other Activities:
3 afternoons per week. Sailing (Drascombe, Optimist, Catamaran, etc.), windsurfing, sea canoing, diving, football, ping pong, volley-ball. The sports activities are different everyday and are adapted to the level of the participant. Students also get unlimited opportunities to spend time at the beach.
Environmental discovery of the Mediterranean fauna and flora (numerous footpaths along the coastline, constitution of a herbarium). Visits to the fishing harbor of Le Pradet. Discovery of the different local trades, craftsmanship and provençal markets. Visits to museums: biological museum of the island of Porquerolles, museum of copper and of Cap Garonne, marine museum of Toulon.
Facility Information:
The lessons are a good balance between conversation, grammar, reading, listening and writing. Although this is an academic program, the emphasis is very much on the pleasure and benefits of learning a language.
In addition to their daily French classes, students live 24 hours a day with other French teenagers which also contributes in developing the use of the French language in a social, linguistic and sports context and a friendly warm atmosphere.
