Learn English In Ireland!
We offer students the opportunity to learn English in a relaxed countryside setting with tuition provided by skilled and experienced teachers. Our school is recognized by the Irish Department of Education for the teaching of English as a foreign language.
Our school provides intensive language courses for individuals and small closed groups and our courses are tailor-made to suit the personal and professional requirements of our students.
We welcome applications from students of 18+. Our courses are tailor-make to suit the individual needs of our students from beginner to advanced levels. We offer a General English course and we specialize in Business and Professional English. We also provide preparation courses for the Cambridge, TOEFL and TOEIC examinations.
Our teaching is usually on a one-to-one basis but small groups of up to four adults may book together if they have the same standard of English or if they wish to allocate the teaching hours among themselves. If a family group wishes to book a course, tuition can be provided for children from 8+.
* Our regular course consists of twenty 50 minute teaching periods per week. Classes start at 9.30 am and finish at 13.10 pm. There is a mid-morning coffee/tea break. For a more intensive course, extra teaching periods may be booked in the afternoons at € 40 per period.
* One-to-one teaching on our regular course costs € 650 per person per week, € 700 for two, € 750 for three and € 800 for four. We would be pleased to incorporate your own personal or professional materials into the course.
* Accommodation: Accommodation is usually with Mary and her family at the school, or with Joyce at her beautiful lakeside house. Students have the opportunity to enjoy the warmth and friendliness of these Irish homes and to experience quality Irish home cooking using local produce. Accommodation includes a private room and bathroom, all meals and laundry and transport to and from the school when required and costs € 250 per person per week. Family members are welcome even if they are not participating in a course.
For family holidays we offer self-catering houses in the beautiful grounds of an Agricultural college 5kms from the school. The facilities here include a classroom for language tuition, a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and an indoor games center. We can also offer hostel accommodation at a horse holiday center 3kms from the school.

Other Activities:
Students are free to go for tranquil walks around the farm and to explore the local countryside. Our nearest attraction is Birr Castle and this is well worth a visit.
Ireland is famous for its horses and we can arrange riding lessons or, if you prefer, you may join a group on a cross-country trail ride. For those of you who like to keep both feet on the ground there is tennis, squash and golf (with a choice of several courses) all in the vicinity of the school.
Facility Information:
Located in the beautiful lakeside area of Co. Tipperary, our Center, Southpark, is a classical 18th Century farmhouse in the Georgian style surrounded by a 100 hectare farm. The facilities here include a classroom for language tuition, a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and an indoor games center.
Notes:
- Accommodation (host family): €250 per person, per week;
- Airport transfers: Shannon - €60 each way, €120 return, €25 for each extra person;
- A deposit of 25% is payable at time of booking. Balance is payable on the day of arrival;
- The use of all course material is included in the fees.
