A unique opportunity for a full immersion experience, living with and being taught by your own private teacher. Home Language International Teaching is completely different from any other language experience. You live and study in your private teacher's house, so there is no travelling to and from school every day. You will not be led page by page through a text book but be given an experience in 'living' the language you are studying.
Your teacher is concerned with only your difficulties and not those of other students because you will be the only student. You can choose the dates which suit you as we operate all year round. Given sufficient notice, we can place you with a teacher who shares your interests and hobbies. You can choose 15, 20 or 25 hours of teaching per week and stay as many weeks as you like. Mealtime conversation, visits, television and social contacts are all in the language you are studying and with people of that country.
Faculty Information:
All our teachers are Qualified. They either have a state recognized teaching certificate, or a University degree. In addition, they have all been awarded the Regency Certificate, which means that the qualifications have been verified and the teacher's homes have been thoroughly inspected. Our teachers are only one facet of the Home Language international service to our students. Every area is supervised by a resident Local Organiser whose job it is to monitor your progress and to make sure your experience with us is both happy and successful.
Other Activities:
Host families will be happy to help you plan your sightseeing trips in the area. You may also book extra activity hours to enjoy doing activities together with the host family.
