The Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is situated at the subtropical southwestern tip of Yunnan and shares a border with Burma and Laos. As the only tropical rainforest nature reserve in China, Xishuangbanna is ideal for nurturing wonderful plants and flora, where is considered as home to unusual wildlife. It is very easy to settle here for days without getting bored. Xishuangbanna is most beautiful when you reach the rarely visited villages on our trekking routes. The locals still maintain a slash and burn farming lifestyle. The richer villagers live in wooden huts with tiled roof, while the poorer ones in bamboo huts with thatched roofs. This 6- day-trekking trip offers you a unique opportunity into the tropical part of Yunnan, highlighting the delights of country life of the ethnic minorities.
