Semi desert area of Samburu, Mt. Kenya Africa’s 2nd highest mountain on the equator, rift valley lakes of Lake Nakuru with flamingoes, hippos at Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara, with the highest concentration of game in Africa.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi. Arrival in Nairobi, where our drive/ guide will meet and escort you to the hotel where your room will have been reserved and ready for your occupation Safari briefing will be conducted at your hotel by our Tour Manager. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Nairobi which includes visit to Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center, National Museum of Kenya and historical buildings and streets in Nairobi. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Days 2-3: Samburu. Breakfast and depart for Samburu game reserve, driving through the highlands of Kenya. Arrive for lunch at the lodge, enjoy two days of game viewing in this wildlife sanctuary that is home to some rare an unusual species including the beisa Oryx, gerenuk and the reticulated giraffe. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 4: Mount Kenya. Drive south through Isiolo and on to the Mount Kenya forest. Arrival at your tree hotel built deep in the heart of the forest. Lunch followed by afternoon walk through the forest enjoying birds and game viewing escorted by a professional guide. Return for your lodge for dinner and all night game viewing at the floodlit water hole from the comfort of your private balcony. Overnight at Mountain Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru. Drive along the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, the world famous flamingo sanctuary. Lunch and bird watching and game viewing along the lake shore. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Breakfast and proceed to Maasai Mara game reserve. Arriving in time for lunch. Lunch at the lodge followed by afternoon game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena lodge.
Days 7-8: Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Two full days of game viewing in the reserve where vast herds of wildebeest and zebras wonders across the open plains. Meals and overnight at Mara Serena lodge.
Day 9: Departure. Final early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the hippo pool. Transfer to the airstrip for scheduled morning flight to Nairobi. Day room and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for the out bound flight.
