Its depth in some places exceeds 200 m and it is similar to the Grand Canyon in the USA. Visit the cascade of rapids-waterfalls in the Mainakski ravine and Charyn’s Rock Canyon.
Your Itinerary
Day 1: Afternoon drive to the Charyn river. 210 km in 3.5 hours. overnight in tents, dinner.
Day 2: Drive to the waterfalls in Mainakskie ravine, 40 km. Hike to the cascade 5 km. Return to base camp and have lunch. Drive to Charyn Canyon (ride side) and go for a 3 hour hike.
Day 3: Hiking to the Rock Canyon’s and then to rapid “Tooth-Brush”. Drive back to Almaty for 200 km.
