Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Almaty, transfer to the hotel(2), at leisure. Evening tour of Almaty.
Day 2: Drive to the Charyn river, 200 km in 4 hours. Excursion to the Big Charyn Canyon. Drive to the village Caty 130 km in 2.5 hours. Spend the night in tents at the base camp.
Days 3-5: Horse riding. One day at Kaindyi Lake and two days at Kolsai Lake. Spend the night in tents at the base camp.
Day 6: Drive to “Mainakski” rapids, 40 km and hiking in 3 hours. Spend the night in tents on the shores of Temirlik river.
Day 7: Drive to the river Ili, near the Zharkend, 80 km. Start with the assembling of the catamarans and kayaks. Spend the night in tents.
Day 8-11: Rafting on the river Ili to the Singing Sand dunes “Akkum-Kalkan”.
Day 12: Excursion to the Singing Sand dunes.
Day 13: Return to Almaty. 160 km. Accommodation in the hotel(2).
Day 14: City tour: State Museum, Museum of National Instruments. Lunch in a restaurant. Visiting the oriental bazaar.
Day 15: Leaving Almaty.
Tourists should have hats, sunglasses, sport clothes and hiking boots.
