Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Cochin / Munnar. Arrival at Cochin Airport / Railway Station. After refreshment drive to Munnar (135 kms. / 3.5 Hrs.). Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel. Munnar offers spectacular views of the craggy peaks, manicured tea plantations, picturesque towns and winding lanes. After lunch Half Day sightseeing covering Echo Point famous for its Echo Phenomenon, Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Lock Heart Gap known for its panoramic views. Evening free at leisure. Dinner. Stay overnight.
Day 2: Munnar / Thekkady. After breakfast visit Eravikulam National Park, the home of Nilgiri Thar. Anamudi peak which is at an altitude of 2695 m above sea level is situated in the southern region of this park. After lunch, local plantation visit and local sightseeing. Evening drive to Thekkady (125 kms. / 3 Hrs.). Arrive Thekkady and check in at hotel. Dinner. Stay overnight.
Day 3: Thekkady. After breakfast enter Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, one of the most fascinating Wild Life Reserves in India. The greatest attraction of Periyar is the large herds of wild elephants that come down to the lakes edge to drive away their thirst. Boating in the Periyar Lake watching the animals. After Lunch visit Spice Garden and Spice Market. Evening free at leisure / enjoy Nature. Dinner. Stay overnight.
Day 4: Thekkady / Kumarakom. After Breakfast drive to Alappuzha, famous for its Backwaters. (128 kms. / 4 Hrs.). Enroute visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Afternoon after lunch go for an Exclusive Boat Cruise in Alappuzha enjoying the Backwaters. Evening Drive to Cochin (60 Kms. / 1.5 Hrs) Enroute visit Alappuzha Town. Dinner. Stay Overnight.
Day 5: Cochin. After Breakfast Cochin sightseeing covering Jew Town, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace & shopping at M. G Road, Ernakulam. Evening Transfer to Kochi Airport / Railway Station…Departure from Cochin and Tour ends….
