Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Kathmandu / Besi Sahar (820m) / Bhubhule. 5-hour drive by local bus will take you to Besi Sahar. A small valley situated on the bank of Marshyangdi River is the gateway for round Annapurna trek. After getting there, walk little further through graveled road to Bhulbhule. It’s better to stay just next side of the River, near somewhere paddy field.

Day 2: Bhulbhule / Syange (1100m). The trail goes from the middle of the green paddy fields. At the end of the paddy field, there is a suspension bridge. After the bridge, the trail follows the river bank for a while then goes rapidly up to the Bahun Danda through the villages. Bahun Danda is located on a small ridge, nice village to see the verdant view of vicinity.

Day 3: Syange / Tal (1707m). 15 minutes descends from Bahun Danda then trail becomes flat for a while then little ups & downs to the Syange. From Syange, there is a small descends to the suspension bridge. After crossing suspension bridge the trail again becomes flat then smoothly goes up to Jagat. From Jagat to Tal, there are many ups & downs through verdant rocky cliff to Tal. Tal is a tiny valley situated on the river bank, where the speed of river is slow and formed as a small Lake. From here downward, river flows under the rocks for a while. We can hear only thunder of river.

Day 4: Tal / Danaque (2082m). From Tal, trail goes little further then cross river through suspension bridge. It goes ahead through the verdant cliff then cross river again through suspension bridge. After that it goes smoothly up along the rugged way and cross again at Dharapani village. From Dharapani village trek to Bagarchhap, where there are few tourist lodges then continue to Danaque.

Day 5: Danaque / Bhratang (2850m). The trail passes through thick Pine forest from Danaque to Chame, head quarter of Manang, where some government offices are there. After crossing bridge in Chame the trail ahead to Bhratang, situated just beneath the big rocky cliff. It’s a very small place. Just below the village rushing river Marshyangdi flowing. It’s a beautiful village with apple orchard.

Day 6: Bhratang / Pissang (3200m). From here onward path is rugged and ascends smoothly up to the suspension bridge over the rushing river. After the bridge path ascends through dense forest of pine. After 1 hour walk in the forest, path becomes very flat like a highway along the pine forest. From here you can see the wide, beautiful Manang valley. From here onward to Pisang trail is absolutely flat.

Day 7: Pisang / Manang (3540m). From Pisang, trail goes smoothly up till the top of small ridge then descends down and after all the way is flat. On the way there is a small STOL airport (grassy) in Hongde. This is the only one airport in Manang. The flight is not regular here. The flight operates some time only if there is charter flight or good weather. Hongde onwards the path is still flat and passes along the pine forest where the trees are tiny in compare of other places. Finally the path reaches to the Bhraga Bridge, after that Manang starts.

Day 8: Rest at Manang. Stroll around at Manang.

Day 9: Manang / Yak Kharka (3980m). The way slowly descends through the Manang village. The houses are made by clay and stone and join each other. The path keeps on going up slowly by crossing the innumerable tiny streams, which comes from the Chulu east and Chulu west.

Day 10: Yak Kharka / Throng Phedi (4450m). Trek to Churi Latter, a small village with few houses, which takes nearly an hour. After a while there are two ways for Thorang Phedi. One goes from the next side of the stream and the other goes from same side but have to trek up. The trail from next side of the river is little bit danger because the rocks fall down very often from upside of the cliff.

Day 11: Throng Phedi / Thorang-La (5416m) / Muktinath (3810m). The trail goes rapidly up to the high camp. Then continue to the top of the pass, which might take 5 hours in total. It is better to start early in the morning from Thorang Phedi because the wind starts to blow from late morning, which makes difficult to walk. From the top of the pass, magnificent view of Chulu east, west and Pisang peak as well as some other mountains can be seen. From the pass, trail rapidly goes down to the bottom of the pass then slowly down to the Muktinath village.

Day 12: Muktinath / Kagbeni (2800m). Muktinath is a big village spreads long from top to bottom. The path is all the way down to the bottom of village, which takes an hour minimum. From there, continue down to Kagbeni village, which is situated just down of Muktinath village. It’s a historical place to visit.

Day 13: Kagbeni / Jomsom / Marpha (2670m). From Kagbeni, the trail goes ahead to Southern direction along the bank of Kali Gandaki River. This path is almost flat and easy and all the way pebbled. It might take 4 hours for Jomsom.

From Jomsom onward, keep following the River bank up to Marpha village. This is one of the ancient villages of Jomsom and used to be the main trade center in the vicinity. The people are Buddhist here but some of the houses look similar to ancient village of Kathmandu valley. The place is famous for apple orchards. Apples of this village are famous in Nepal. The splendid view of Mt. Nilgiri can be seen from here.

Day 14: Marpha / Kalopani (2530m). From Marpha onward, river flows little deep but it becomes very wider from Tukche onward. Most of the people, who starts early morning from Marpha, they have breakfast in Tukche. In Tukche, there is one Bakery, which is being running by a Danish Guy named Patrick Mass. May be, this is the only one Bakery, you will find in your whole trek. From Tukche onwards, the trail is little ups & down because the path in some places have submerged, so have to climb little ups & downs up to the suspension bridge. From Suspension bridge onward, the path will take the left bank of the river up to Kalapani.

Day 15: Kalopani / Ghasa (2010m). The path from here descends then cross a suspension bridge, where there is a big landslide. Within the landslide the path is difficult. After that the trail goes down gently through the wood to Ghasa. From Kalapani onward, the river goes rapidly deep down and rushing. Ghasa is a small fertile valley situated in between giant rocky wall of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range.

Day 16: Ghasa / Tatopani (1190m). After walking down for a little while, there is a suspension bridge; from there the path takes left bank of the river. The path here onward is ups & downs through the rocky cliff up to the Kopchepani village. After crossing the suspension bridge of Kopchepani village, the path heads ahead to the Rupche water falls, a magnificent water falls. There is a stream after Rupche water falls then trail passes through the village of Dana. It takes 2 hours to Tatopani from Dana. “Tatopani” means hot water in Nepali language. There is a hot spring just down from the village in the riverbank.

Day 17: Tatopani / Chitre (2390m). Again cross the long suspension bridge over Kali Gandaki then again Do Khola (stream) the path goes rapidly up via Ghara and Shikha villages. You will gain 1200m high today. The stunning view of Mt. Dhaulagiri is just in front of you.

Day 18: Chitre / Ghorepani (2750m). Keep continue to up hill trek through thick, lush Rhododendron forest. In spring season, the place looks like a heaven, when the Rhododendron is in bloom. Ghorepani is one of the magnificent villages in this area. A good place to see owe inspiring view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massive.

Day 19: Ghorepani / Tikhedhunga (1540m). Early morning, hike up to Poon hill, just above Ghorepani village, takes 2 hours. This is the best spot to see the splendid view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri as well as Sunrise. A Big crowd of tourists will be there in the morning time. After spending few hours in Poon Hill then trek down to Ghorepani for proceeding to Tikhedhunga via Ulleri. Trek duration: 05 hours.

Day 20: Tikhedhunga / Nayapul / Pokhara. From Tikhedhunga, the trail goes all the way down to Birethanti then drive to Pokhara. Overnight hotel.

Day 21: Drive Pokhara / Kathmandu.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.

- During trekking accommodation with all meals in tea house lodges and in Pokhara accommodation for 1 night on twin-sharing basis with breakfast.
- Services of English speaking trekking guide and porter.
- Transportation Kathmandu/Besi Sahar by public bus, Nayapul / Pokhara by private car and Pokhara/Kathmandu by Tourist Bus.
- Conservation fees for Annapurna Area.
- Accommodation, equipments, meals and allowance of guide and porter.
- Down jackets and sleeping bags if necessary.
- All applicable taxes and service charges.

Cost does not include:
- Lunch and dinner in Pokhara.
- Expenses of personal nature such as bottle drinks, bar bill, laundry, telephone, tips, etc...

Note: If you like to travel by private car to Besi Sahar, it will cost USD 75.00 per person. Similarly, you can fly Pokhara-Kathmandu at additional payment of USD 90.00 per person.
