Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Meeting of passengers and representatives of the agency at the airport Nikola Tesla – Belgrade. Transfer to the hotel. Spare time. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast. Sightseeing with a professional tour guide.
Route: The City Parliament, The Federal Parliament, Terazije Square, Republic Square, Students’ Square, Belgrade Fortress, City Gate (“Varos kapija”), New Belgrade, Topcider Hill, Dedinje, Oslobodjenje Square, Slavija Square, Nikola Pasic Square.
Lunch. Spare time in the afternoon. For the evening night cruising on Sava and Danube Rivers and sightseeing of Belgrade from the rivers with dinner and appropriate music program is planned.
Day 3: Breakfast. “Carstvo etnosa” (The Kingdom of ethnos).
Route: Belgrade, Ovcarsko–kablarska Gorge, Zlatibor Mountain, Mokra Gora, Camp Tara.
Visit to the Drvengrad, film city of Emir Kusturica. Watching the projection of the latest documentary film by Emir Kusturica. Lunch is planned in the ethno restaurant of this unique film city. Boarding the old type train “Cira” and driving along the famous “Sarganska osmica” – the narrow-gage railroad, shaped in number eight, long 15 kilometres with 22 tunnels, many viaducts and bridges and it represents the greatest tourist attraction in Europe at the moment. Stops are on the places with spectacular views, and also on the place where film “Zivot je cudo” (Life is a miracle) by Emir Kusturica is made. Departure to camp Tara. Accommodation. Dinner; Overnight.
Day 4: Breakfast - specialties of domestic kitchen. Changing of wardrobe into rafting equipment. Each participant gets neoprene suit, neoprene boots, life jacket and adventure starts. Transportation by jeeps and vans to Brstenovica, starting point of our friendship with river Tara until 11.30. Formation of rafting teams, introduction to the skipper and basics of rafting and team work.
Capacity of the boats is 10 to 12 persons, and it is very important to obey skipper's instruction. Shipping until 12.00. Rafting unwinds on the most attractive part of the river Tara. Total length of 14 km will give you a lot of new experience. Exciting is mostly expected at rapids Celije, Vjernovice (grade 5), Borovi, Varda, Cegrlo (grade 4), and other 17 rapids aren't to be underestimated. Rafting lasts around 3.5 hours with brakes for swimming and rest in Kulina, Manita vrela, and Sipcanica streams.
Arrival to camp "Sastavci" around 16.00. Change of vestment. Lunch - specialties of domestic and oriental kitchen, rafting soup, rousted lamb. Spare time after lunch and free activities. Dinner and intercourse alongside bonfire. Overnight.
Day 5: Breakfast. Transfer to the volunteering place.
Route: Camp Tara, Visegrad, Bajina Basta, Ljubovija, Loznica, Osecina
On this trip, we will drive trough Western Serbia with brakes in Perucac, lake near Bajina basta, where lunch is planned.
Arrival to Osecina. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 6-8: Municipality Osecina
Environmentally and socially sustainable Volunteering projects with support of local community:
- Assisting to teachers in a nursery and a primary school, English language teaching
- Repairing, pargeting and restoring of library and school
- Participating in preserving of environment; cleaning of torrents and rivers repairing houses hit by natural disaster (flood), as well as building of new, smaller houses.
- Excavation of old Serbian oratory (starts in March 2007)
Day 9: Breakfast. Transfer to the Zasavica Swamp, Natural Reservation.
Route: Osecina, Trsic, Monastery Tronosa, Loznica, Sabac, Sremska Mitrovica, Zasavica Swamp
From Osecina we will drive trough Western Serbia, where we will take a brake and visit Trsic and Monastery Tronosa. Trip continues towards Zasavica where lunch is planned to be held. In this beautiful natural reservation you will enjoy a ride on the tourist rowing boat, photo-safari and richness of its natural and animal world – 200 species of plants, 120 species of birds, more than 20 species of fish.
Departure to Belgrade in the evening. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport. End of the program.
