From time to time we become aware of new and exciting adventure possibilities. This is an opportunity to visit and assess an area, provide guests with savings, while offering the same level of service, professionalism, and equipment that is a feature of our established trips.

Join us we explore Nuchatlitz and Esperanza Inlets on Canada's west coast. Here is an opportunity to view west coast inlets and beaches as they were before development and logging. Dramatic coastlines, small islets, punctuated with sea caves, arches, bluffs, and sandy beaches will highlight our paddle.

Rich inter-tidal life with its myriad of colours, marine mammals such as sealions, seals, and whales, along with a varied marine bird presence lend to the specialness of this area. And if this is not enough, Nuchatlitz is home to the greatest concentration of sea otters on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Tour Details:

- Origin: Vancouver, BC;
- Difficulty: Class 1/2 Novice;

Tour Itinerary

Day 0: Arrival in Vancouver

Day 1: Crossing by ferry to Vancouver Island. Drive, via passenger van, to Zeballos. Overnight here.

Day 2-6: Transfer to our put-in point and the beginning of our adventure. No firm itinerary is planned for our exploration of Nuchatlitz and Esperanza Inlets.. Weather, group interest and ability, tides and currents will ultimately decide our route and stops.

Days 7: We will be water taxied back to Zeballos and return to Vancouver.

Testimonials:

“One of the features that made things easier for us was the pickup and drop-off at the hotel. Not having to rent a car was nice, since it would sit for most of the week anyways, as well as not having to worry about ferry schedules etc.” Robert Smyth., London, Ontario
