Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Upon your arrival you will be met by your guide and transferred to a hotel/guest house. Depending on time of arrival there are optional activities, visiting the Uganda wildlife education centre, Botanical gardens or Ngamba island chimp sanctuary. Overnight at the hotel/guest house BB.

Day 2: After breakfast, you will depart for Masindi birding en route, check in at a hotel, have lunch and then proceed on to the Royal mile in Budongo forest birding, the royal mile is famous for the various bird species. Return to the hotel for the night FB.

Day 3: A day’s birding today at Budongo forest – Kaniyo papidi, birds here include the chocolate-backed kingfisher, white –thighed hornbill and the puvel’s illadopsis found only here in East Africa. You will take with a packed lunch and return to the hotel for the night FB.

Day 4: Depart for Murchison Falls NP birding en route, you will visit the top of the falls – view the river Nile as it falls down through the narrow gap with the roaring sound, after which you will continue to the lodge/camp for the overnight FB.

Day 5: Morning game drive, mammals here include giraffe, lion, buffalo and the various antelopes. With chances of seeing the ground hornbill, vultures, bee eaters, eagles, brown parrot and white-crested turaco among the many species, you will go on the boat cruise to the bottom of the falls this afternoon, viewing birds, crocodiles and hippos. Return to the lodge for the night FB.

Day 6: Today you will depart for Fort Portal, lunch to en route, after about 7 hours drive you will be checked in at a hotel. Here you will stay for one night FB.

Day 7: This morning you will go for the swamp walk, were you will birding with an opportunity to see the great blue turaco, with chances of viewing primates like the vervet monkey, l’hoest monkey, the baboon and mammals like the sitatunga and bush pig. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. Overnight at a lodge/camp FB.

Day 8: Early breakfast then depart for a combined game drive and birding, in the park there are about 600 bird species recorded, among which is the famous shoebill stork, African fish eagle, martial eagle, papyrus gonolek and more.

On the game drive you will view, elephants, various antelopes, hyena, lion, leopard and buffaloes. Then after lunch you will go on the cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its enormous birdlife. Overnight at lodge/camp FB.

Day 9: After breakfast, you will return to Entebbe birding en route, with a stop for lunch and curio shopping, you stay at the hotel/guest house BB.

Day 10: Depending on the flight time, you may go for a half day birding around Entebbe, otherwise you will be transferred to the airport in time for departure flight.

End of services.
