Thai cuisine is famous around the world for its unique use of spices combining delicate and strong. Next are the ancient capitals of Ayuthaya and Sukhothai and the tranquil northern city of Chiang Mai. Finally you visit Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle. Along the way you experience not only the major sights, but get the opportunity to travel on a converted rice barge and spend a memorable night with a Thai family in their traditional teak house. However, the major highlights are learning Thai cooking, feasting on a special lunch banquet and appreciating the importance that food has in the everyday life of the Thai people. "Aroi mahk mahk", "Lum tair tair", "Saep ellei" and "Roi jung hoh" are how you say 'delicious' in the four different Thai dialects - words you will use frequently.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: (Mon) Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Bangkok city tour, visiting Grand Palace and Wat Po. Drive to Kanchanaburi. Visit Bridge on the River Kwai and war museum.
Day 3: Thai cooking school in Kanchanaburi.
Day 4: Cooking demonstration. Lunch on board rice barge cruise around Ayuthaya. Stay the night in traditional Thai teak house.
Day 5: Drive to Sukhothai.
Day 6: Cycle ride around Sukhothai ancient city. Drive to Chiang Mai and visit Night Bazaar.
Day 7: Visit market. Cooking class specialising in northern cuisine.
Day 8: Chiang Mai tour visiting Tribal Museum and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
Day 9: Drive to Thaton. Boat trip to Chiang Rai.
Day 10: Tour of Golden Triangle.
Day 11: Fly to Bangkok.
Day 12: Trip ends in Bangkok this morning (Fri).
