In early summer the roadside views abound with apple, pear and cherry blossom. The backdrop of coastal ranges, Bruny Island and the scudding sails in the D'Entrecasteaux Channel and Huon Estuary provides for a memorable trip.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Cygnet. We meet in Hobart, then take the quiet old road over the shoulder of Mt Wellington to Huonville. We follow the Huon River to quaint historic Cygnet.
Day 2: Kettering. The road follows the Huon Estuary then hugs the Channel coastline, with views of Bruny Island, to the pretty yachting port of Kettering. An excursion to Bruny Island is a possibility in the afternoon.
Day 3: Hobart. We take a leisurely ride into the Channel country then follow the Derwent estuary back to Hobart.
