This tour starts from Christchurch and follows an almost entirely flat route through to the small farming town of Darfield.
From Darfield it’s a relaxed ride to the small town of Oxford and then on to the vineyards and olive groves of Waipara/Amberley, before cycling back to Christchurch to complete the mountain bike tour. Daily luggage cartage is available, meaning that your gear can be waiting for you at the end of each day.
Equipment Included:
- Quality 27 Speed Trek 4500 mountain bike for mountain bike touring (with road tyres)
- Ortlieb rear pannier bags
- Route information, maps and notes on points of interest that you will pass while on the mountain bike tour.
- Comprehensive repair kit & bicycle equipment.
Accommodation:
3 nights accommodation in twin rooms with bathroom ensuite (where available), in carefully selected B&B's, home stays and small friendly motels (Breakfast included).
Difficulty:
Easy paced route an average 40 to 50 kms per cycling day.
