An adventure for intermediate to experienced hikers who want to immerse themselves in the rugged beauty of the High Sierra Trail. Learn and/or refine your backpacking living skills while you traverse the Sierra from East to West and ascend Mt. Whitney from Guitar Lake on the west side of Mt. Whitney, using the High Sierra Trail, John Muir Trail and Pacific Crest Trail. Finally completing your journey by exiting out the west side of the mountains over Cottonwood Pass and then down to the Owens Valley for the drive back to our vehicles. Learn about the latest lightweight backpacking gear, identify sub alpine wildflowers, and the geology which carved the region, along with "Leave No Trace" techniques.
