Hotlum Glacier Camp with Shasta Summit Climb.
Join us for this four day advanced mountaineering course and guided glacier ascent of Mt. Shasta via a Northern Route across the Hotlum glacier.
Combines advanced ice climbing instruction, crevasse rescue techniques review, advanced glacier route finding, wand use and placement, hazard evaluation, route finding options and overcoming route difficulties, review of glacier travel protocol and establishing a high camp in a glacier environment.
We will also attempt the summit of Mt. Shasta via a Hotlum Glacier route. For experienced climbers interested in Mt. Shasta’s wild side-expect glaciers, cold blue ice, and a high camp in the middle of the Hotlum Glacier.

- June/July: June 30-July 3 (4th of July)
- July 19-22
- August: 16-19
- September: 2-5(Labor day), 13-16
- October: 5-7
* Duration: 4 days.
* Experience Level: Advanced climbers with previous ice ax, crampon, rope handling & belaying experience.
* Additional dates maybe available by arrangement with 3 or more.
