Join us for this three day guided climb of Mt. Shasta classic Casval Ridge. Only "in shape" in early to late spring when there is plenty of snow to cover the rocky ridge. Steep terrain and spectacular views await the intermediate climber on this exciting route. Determination, excellent physical condition, previous ice ax and crampons skills are required for the ascent.
We will make a high camp on the Casval Ridge and review your skills prior to our attempt of the summit. Technical skills, steep terrain, and weather make this an excellent experience climb for Mt. Mckinley, Mexico Volcanoes or South America Expeditions. Group size limited to 6 climbers and two guides.
Dates 2009:
- April: 10-12, 24-26
- May: 1-3, 15-17, 23-25 (Memorial Day).
*Note:
- Experience level: Experienced climbers, snowshoers, skiers, and snowboarders with previous ice ax, crampon, and rope handling skills.
- Additional dates maybe available by arrangement with 3 or more.
