Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Entering into Serbia via Horgoš border crossing and reception of the group by our guide. Drive to the Jezera Palic, tourist and recreation center with the miscellaneous opportunities (20 km), a brief walk around the lake (1 h). Lunch at the grange (5 km), welcome drink and rustic lunch (3 h). Possibility of driving with the old-fashioned carriage, fishing in the pond, riding bicycle, walking.
Driving to the “Wine Palace”, (5 km) and presenting of the wine knight with the wine degustation. Visit to the organic sunflower and pumpkin oil manufacturer “Suncokret” in Hajdukovo village, 10 km, watching the traditional technique of the cold refinery with the participation of the guests. Driving to Novi Sad (100 km) and hotel accommodation. Dinner in the fish restaurant on the Danube (Carda) – fish specialties. Overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast, sightseeing of Novi Sad, walking through the ancient streets of the downtown area, sightseeing of the Petrovaradin Fortress, the oldest preserved fortification on the River Danube built during the reign of the queen Mary Theresa. Visiting the Art Gallery – Studio 61, one of the three unique artistic tapestry workshops in Europe (2,5 h).
Driving to Sremski Karlovci, the spiritual and cultural center of the Serbs. Taking a walk in the pedestrian area of the town nucleus with the degustation of wine and honey and a branch in the family wine cellars that are also small vintage factories (2 h). Driving through the slopes of Fruška Gora Mountain (20 min), visiting the Krušedol Monastery, one of the 17 monasteries in National Park Fruška Gora (1 h). Driving to Belgrade (some 80 km) and hotel accommodation (3 stars hotel). A brief walk downtown and dinner in the bohemian quarter Skadarlija. Overnight.
Day 3: After breakfast, riding with the ship with a panoramic view of Belgrade from the river (under the Belgrad Fortress Kalemegdan, brighes, confluence of the rivers Sava and Danube, beside the old town of Zemun, Pancevo, up to Vinca (some 2 h, a bus is going along with the ship for 15 km). Visiting of the archaeological site and the museum of the Vinca culture which is more that 7.000 years old.
Driving by bus through the magnificent Deliblato sand, “European Sahara", covering 34.000 ha (60 km).
Lunch at the “oasis” - inn called “A Girl’s Well” national specialties (1,5 h) and enjoying in the picturesque view and a unique sight of this specific bio-diversity of the send and river. Driving to Vršac (40 km), which is a center of the pharmaceutical industry of Serbia and vineyards of this part of the Danube flow. Hotel accommodation (4 stars hotel). Visit to the Vineyards of Gudurica, representing the authentic tradition of the Vršac culture and wine production (20 min), dinner in a typical vintage restaurant. Overnight.
Day 4: Breakfast and taking a walk downtown of Vršac, a medieval town of the characteristic architecture (1h), driving to the authentic ethno "Czech Village", a former German settlement (35 km). Driving to Bela Crkva a small town on the very border with Romania, surrounded by 7 lakes, rivers Karaš and Nera and their delta with the Danube (15 km). A welcome drink and lunch on the Danube – fish food (2 h). Ride with the ferryboat along the Danube with panorama of the Ram fortress (some 30 min).
Driving to the Golubac fortress, remarkable Danube fortification, a brief stop for taking pictures and enjoying the spectacular view ot the Djerdap Canyon (15 min). Driving to the Silver Lake, an artificial water accumulation of the marvellous beauty created by the construction of the dam on the hydro-plant Djerdap (some 35 km). Hotel accommodation (a 3 stars hotel). Dinner with the fish specialties. Overnight.
Day 5: After breakfast, driving through the fascinating scenery of the National Park Djerdap to Donji Milanovac (some 55 km). A short break at the archaeological site from the Neolithic period Lepenski Vir, sightseeing, taking pictures (1 h). Driving for some 60 km and lunch in the unique architectural complex of the wine cellars Rajacke pimnice dating from the 18th century (walking around and staying of some 3 hours).
Continuation to the Gamzigrad - Felix Romuliane, the remnants of the town from the Roman Empire time (1 h). Driving to Knjaževac (some 40 km), typical town of eastern Serbia, located in the foot of the Mountain Stara Planina, with the dominating breathtaking highest Peak Midžor (2169m). Hotel accommodation (3-stars hotel). Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Breakfast and brief sightseeing of Knjaževac. Visiting the Socks Museum with 1.000 traditional motives and Ethno Museum and workshops of the sock-knitting and carpet-making (some 2 h). Continuation of the journey down the Mountain Stara Planina up to small town Svrljig (some 30 km). Visiting the Prekonoška Cave, famous for its beauty and natural inner decorations, lunch in the unique restaurant known by the grilled specialties, the portions there are measured in meters. Going back taking a highway via Niš with the stopping for refreshment (some 300 km). Arriving in Zemun and hotel accommodation (a 4 stars hotel), light dinner. Possibility of taking a walk downtown the old part called Gardoš. Overnight.
Day 7: Breakfast. Transfer to the Belgrade airport and flight according to the flight schedule in coordination with the carrier.
