Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arriving Belgrade, transfer to hotel and accommodation. City tour. Welcoming dinner in a local restaurant in bohemian quarter Skadarlija, traditional meal with music performance. Overnight.
Day 2: Morning departure from Belgrade and drive along highway to Subotica. Arrival to “Majkin Salas” grange in Palic. Lunch in typical farm ambiance/welcome drink, Hungarian traditional specialties. Possibility of carriage ride, fishing in a fish pond, bike-riding, walking. Drive to “ Wine Palace“ and wine cavaliers presentation followed by wine tasting. Visit to “Sunflower” manufacture of cold pressed pumpkin and sunflower oil from organic seeds, using presses from previous centuries. Drive to Palic Lake, the famous tourist-recreation center, known for its beautiful scenery. Hotel accommodation, stroll in a beautiful park around the Lake. Rustic dinner, overnight in ethno lodging with all facilities.
Day 3: After breakfast drive to Subotica, the northeast town in Serbia, sightseeing tour: the City Hall, National Theatre, Synagogue. Drive to Sombor, the old-stylish town of artists, heritage and culture. Sightseeing tour. Carriage ride to the authentic Croat population “bunjevci” farm /salas/, where participants learn and enjoy the traditional way of life in Vojvodina. Rustic lunch. Drive to Apatin, small town located on the Danube bank, known for the fish specialties and beer production. Hotel accommodation, dinner, overnight.
Day 4: After breakfast served on the Danube bank, drive to Backi Petrovac, the center of Slovak culture, settled 260 years ago by Slovak population. Welcome by local hosts and artists in “Ahoj” Gallery, presentation of Slovak culture/folklore, broom manufacturing, short painting course. Traditional branch. Drive to Kulpin and visit the romantic Kulpin Castle and Museum of Agriculture surrounded by beautiful park. Lunch. Drive to Novi Sad. Hotel accommodation, dinner in the restaurant - the Danube “Charda”. Overnight.
Day 5: Breakfast and panoramic sightseeing of Novi Sad, administrative, cultural and educational center of Vojvodina Province. Stroll in the old part of Town. Drive to the Petrovaradin Fortress, the oldest preserved fortification on the Danube, built during the reign of Empress Maria Teresa. Visit to Studio - ”Gallery 61”, one of three unique art tapestry workshops in Europe. Let's take part in dream-weaving and enjoy the creation of modern or traditional tapestries. Drive to Sremski Karlovci, spiritual and cultural center of Serbs, strolling baroque downtown. Visit to vast vineyards of special Fruska Gora grapes, short presentation on long-lasting wine tradition. Wine tasting and honey sampling, branch in traditional wine cellar. Drive along the slopes of Fruska Gora Mountain and the National Park and visit to Krusedol Monastery, from 17th century. Rustic lunch. Drive to Belgrade and hotel accommodation. Relaxing walk downtown Belgrade and dinner in bohemian quarter Skadarlija. Overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast Belgrade sightseeing. Free time and departure. End of program.
