Day 1: Venice
Depart Venice late afternoon on the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, and settle into your compartment as the train travels through the wonderful mountain scenery of the Italian Dolomites and Austrian Alps. Later, indulge in an aperitif in the bar before enjoying a splendid dinner in one of the opulent dining cars.

Day 2: Krakow
Breakfast is served in your compartment as you travel through the ever-changing scenery of the Slovakian countryside and the Tatras Mountains. A leisurely lunch is served on board as the train crosses into Poland with an afternoon arrival in Krakow—an architectural gem and one of Europe’s most beautiful and vibrant cities.

Day 3: Krakow
Explore Krakow at leisure. From the unique medieval market square with its Cloth Hall full of artisan’s shops selling exquisite amber jewelry, to the Cathedral and fortified Royal Castle standing high on Wawel Hill, Krakow is a delight.

Day 4: Krakow
Enjoy more time to explore Krakow before rejoining the train this evening for dinner and your night on board. Overnight on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Day 5: Vienna
Breakfast is served in your compartment as you approach Vienna, where the train arrives this morning. The remainder of the day and evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Once the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, this beautiful city is easy to explore. We suggest taking a horse-drawn carriage ride past the many architectural splendors of the Ringstrasse.

Day 6: Vienna
Discover this former leading city of Central Europe. Today's Vienna is a modern city robed in 18th-century charm and 19th-century grandeur. St. Stephen's Cathedral, Belvedere Palace and the State Opera House are just a few examples of the city's magnificent sights.

Day 7: Vienna
Perhaps enjoy a stroll around this elegant city before rejoining the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express early afternoon. Enjoy afternoon tea and dinner on board as you continue your journey towards France. Overnight on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Day 8: Paris
A morning arrival in the romantic city of Paris, where your journey ends.
