Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: We pick you up at the airport. Lodge is situated on the banks of the Orinoco River about 20 minutes from the airport. It is designed in a typical Indian style. After lunch we walk to a vantage point where we have a splendid view over the Orinoco River.
Day 2: We visit an Indian village, see its agriculture, its local and medicine plants. We walk through the forest where we might see the "24 hours ant" or even find a spider. See around you and understand how the Indian can get better, using roots and savia coming from trees. Observe how Indians make baskets, hammocks and traps. In the afternoon we visit the "Tobogán de la Selva", a natural water slide with pools, is not a perfect place, but for sure is impressionist to see the Jacuzzis, which are huge holes in the stone, and where many Indians use to call it, "love places". In the evening we return to our lodge.
Day 3: Starting from the Lodge we take a boat trip downstream on the Orinoco. We explore little creeks with abundant vegetation. If we are lucky, we might see fresh water dolphins and otters. There is time to swim and sunbathe on the beaches, which appear during the dry season.
Day 4: After breakfast we drive to Puerto Ayacucho and visit the Indian market with lots of handicrafts and the Indian museum which has detailed information about different Indian tribes and their everyday life. After that we go to the airport.
