Baja's Sea of Cortez - in Mexico's newest National Marine Park off Loreto (Loreto Bay): hot sun, warm water, white sand beaches, dolphins, sea lions, blue and fin whales. 7-day & 8-day sea kayaking/camping trips include airport transfer, 2 nights' hotel with pool, sleeping bags/pads/sheets, healthy delicious meals while kayaking, experienced bilingual guides, ALL camping and kayaking equipment and instruction. We provide highest guide-guest ratio!
Airfare not included. No previous kayaking experience is necessary; suitable for ages 12-75 in good health. Meals are bountiful & we use the wonderful fresh fruits and produce available there. Since 1993; references available upon request. Can be combined with gray whale day tour or 3-5-day base camp in Magdalena Bay in Feb & early March. Mothership kayak options also available.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Loreto airport. You'll be greeted by our ground service and transported to the hotel in Loreto - included. Pre-trip meeting at hotel.
Day 2: In the morning we provide transport to the launch site. We'll teach you the basics of paddling before launching kayaks. Paddle to our first night's island campsite.

Day 3: Our days begin with spectacular sunrises and end with delightfully cool evenings star-gazing. We'll spend most of our mornings kayaking to a new campsite. There is plenty of time to snorkel, hike, swim, take photos, read our library or relax.

Day 4: Activities include snorkeling in scenic coves, paddling to different islands or along a remote shore and hiking up colorful canyons and headlands offering breathtaking panoramas of the wild coastline and scattered islands.

Day 5: This fascinating landscape is dotted with huge cacti, lovely white sand beaches, sea caves, dramatic cliffs and hidden coves, which we'll explore by kayak. Often we see pods of dolphins frolicking, sea lions, or the rare blue whale.

Day 6: Our days begin with spectacular sunrises and end with delightfully cool evenings star-gazing. We'll spend our mornings kayaking to a new campsite. There is plenty of time to snorkel, hike, swim, take photos or relax.

Day 6 or 7: In the morning we paddle to a scenic beach for a final snorkel. After lunch, we'll paddle a short distance to our take-out site, where we'll be met by vans for transport back to Loreto and your hotel. Hotel included in tour price

Day 7 or 8: Short taxi ride to the airport for your flight to Los Angeles and connecting flights homeward.
