Introductory overnight trip - A taste of the wilderness
A gentle 3 to 4 hour ride takes you through mountain meadows and lodgepole and spruce forests to the Snake River Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park. Try your hand at fly fishing along the Snake River in the evening. Maybe spot deer or elk watering at the river banks in the early morning.
3 Day Trip to the Hot Springs - For a bigger taste
Ride to the Snake River Hot Springs as described above. On your layover day, take it easy and fish the river, or take a day ride high on the slopes overlooking the canyon.
5 Day trip - A real back country experience
Meander through forests dotted with heavenly meadows, climbing gradually to the crest of Factory Hill. Here you ride down through a large thermal area with hot pools and fumaroles to Heart Lake.
We move on the third day down the Heart River to Basin Creek.
The fifth day we head down the trail through the scenic gorge of Red Creek to the Snake River. Enjoy lunch beside a stream, and return to base camp in the National Forest in the late afternoon.
On your lay over days, fish the lake and feeder streams, take a day ride high on the slopes of near by Mt. Sheridan for sweeping vistas of the Park, or just relax in a meadow filled with wild flowers.
In the evenings, hear elk bugling, coyotes yipping, and birds and chipmunks singing.
Extended 7 to 10 Day Trip - For the more adventurous

These trips are suitable for those with some riding experience and a thirst for roughing it. The routes vary depending on campsite availability. We follow the basic format of the trips described above, with one or two lay over days between moving days.
The routes can be planned either in Yellowstone Park or the Teton Wilderness Area or a combination of the two. Where ever we go, the scenery and wilderness experience are spectacular.
