On the Day of arrival, you will be transferred from Livingstone International Airport to Maramba River Lodge which is right in Mosi-o-tunya National Park and just a few minutes drive to the Victoria Falls. After having an hour or less of refreshing yourself, you will go for an afternoon Sunset Luxury River Cruise on the African Queen Vessel on the waters of the Mighty Zambezi River. Thereafter you will have Dinner and spend your first night at Maramba River Lodge.
Tour Itinerary:
Days 1 – 3: On the first day, clients will have an early breakfast at the Lodge, and then take a transfer by our air conditional bus to Lusaka International Airport. You will have light lunch and drinks on the way. Thereafter, you will be transferred by an aircraft to South Luangwa National Park at Mfuwe International Airport. Then you will be transferred to Chichele Presidential Lodge.
About South Luangwa National Park:
This is acknowledged as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa and is rated as one of the top game reserves in the world. This is a must see part for every tourist visiting Zambia.
Wildlife: This is the only Park in the world where you will find Thorncraft Giraffe and Cookson`s Wild Beast. You will also be able to see the African Elephant, buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Puku, Impala and many more.
Birdlife: Over 400 recorded species are found in and around the Park. Some of the special but rare birds that may be seen are African Skimmer, Western bundled snake eagle, bat hawk, red necked falcon, peel’s fishing owl, pale billed hornbill.
Activities: Activities you will do are walking safaris, day and night game drives, village tours and fishing.
For this particular tour you will stay 3 nights and two days in South Luangwa National Park at Chichele Presidential Lodge. The Lodge is a high class facility for your luxury and comfort as you do your Safaris activities.
Days 4 – 6: On the fourth day, you will leave by an aircraft from South Luangwa to Lusaka International Airport. Then you will have lunch and drinks on the way as you are being transferred in our comfortable bus to Lake Kariba House boat in Sinazongwe. Lake Kariba is the largest man made lake in the world. The lake hosts Chete Island National Park and other Islands too with a lot of wildlife and birdlife. Take the opportunity to cruise the waters of Lake Kariba, enjoying the stunning scenes of Islands, shores of Zambia and Zimbabwe and the beautiful Chete Gorge. Observe the activities of the wildlife and catch the frequent activity of elephant swimming between the shores as you float and relax on the Kohlisai luxury house boat. This is a get away from usual lodge accommodation while enjoying the highest standards of service. You can enjoy the open air breezes and spectacular scenery from any of the 3 decks. Have a drink at the bar, kick back in the plunge pool, whilst enjoying the smells of fresh bream on the braai.
You will stay 3 nights and 2 days on the House boat. Your activities here begin the afternoon you arrive from Lusaka International Airport. After your arrival on the boat, you will have the chance to relax, enjoy a cold drink and a beautiful sunset. You will enjoy a feast dinner prepared by the Chef and spend the evening as you wish, a great chance to acquaint yourself with the fully stocked bar, enjoying the company of friends and nature at its finest.
Early the next morning, the House boat will depart for Maaze Island, where you will enjoy a beautiful lake breeze as you have your full breakfast. After morning on Maaze Island, you will visit one of the world’s largest crocodile farms and experience viewing huge crocodiles and prolific bird life in natural breeding dams. After this, you will return to the House boat for lunch and then have a chance to pass away some time fishing, game viewing by tender boat, relaxing in the pool or catching some sun on the sundeck. Then you will have another fantastic three course dinner and a romantic night on the house boat. The following morning will see you heading into Chete National Park for an excellent chance to see elephants swimming and at play. You will be able to see buffalo, kudu, impala, warthog, water buck, lots of crocodiles and hippos. This is also a National Bird sanctuary with 170 species of birds including the fish eagle, black eagle, Twine fowl, trumpeter, hornbill, hawk and owls.
The boat will moor inside the park for lunch, before heading up to the spectacular Chete Gorge, on the way to Mashapi Island, where you will pull up with the Island to yourself and have the chance to stretch your legs on the golden sand beach and watch another stunning sun set and another last night rest on the luxury boat. On the final morning you will have breakfast while enroute back to harbor for your bus transfer back to Livingstone.
Day 7: On the 7th day, you will be transferred back to Livingstone. You will now stay at the Zambezi sun 3 star hotel. The Hotel is right on the Zambezi river and you will see the smoke coming from the waters of the Victoria Falls. This is an International Luxury Hotel and this is made to relax yourself from the long travel as you reach the end of your tour. You will have Dinner on this hotel.
Day 8: In the morning, you will have a Rhino Walk in Mosi-o-tunya National Park. This is made to make sure you complete seeing the Big Five animals namely Lion, Rhinos, Elephant, Buffalo and Leopard. Rhinos are found only in this Park. Thereafter, you will have the tour of the Victoria Falls. After lunch, you will have a tour of Livingstone Museum and then a 30 minutes helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls, the Batoka Gorge, Zambezi River and Mosi-o-tunya National Park as your last activity. Then you will be treated to an African dinner as we bid farewell to each other. You will spend your last night stay at the Zambezi Sun Hotel.
Day 9: Departure. You will have your Breakfast at the Hotel. You will then be transferred to Livingstone International Airport with plenty of time to make your way back to your destination.
