Ethiopia’s proximity to the equator and great habitat diversity means it has one of the richest avifauna in Africa. Taking in to account birds that were first recorded in Ethiopia after 1971, or have only been described since then, a total count of around 850 birds is a realist estimate. It is quite possible that further species awaits discovery in the little-known forests of the south and west, or elsewhere- a new and presumably endemic species of nightjar was discovered as recently as 1992 in the very accessible Nech sar national Park.

Day 2: Drive to Awash National park to watch the endemic birds of Ethiopia. Birds in Awash like: Green Wood hoope, Carmine Bee-Eater, Fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Lanner Falcon... and more others. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight Htl.
Day 3: Drive to Langano to see some of the remarkable birds of Rift Valley. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 4: Drive to Wondogenet. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 5: In the morning drive to Awasa to see the rest of fasinating Rift Valley birds. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 6: Drive to Yabello Sanctuary. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 7: Drive to Shashemene. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 8: In the morning drive to Bale mountain national park where 16 endemic birds and nesting. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 9: Drive to Sodere. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 10: Drive to Addia Ababa. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight Htl.
Day 11: Departure.
