Following is a typical itinerary for our 6 day trip on the Salmon River. We will present you with pre and post trip travel options for your consideration. Early bookings get the best dates and pre-season specials. We provide, oar rigs, paddle rafts, individual and double Inflatable kayaks, so you can choose your own adventure each day.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: 7:30 PM - We will meet you at the Stagecoach Inn is Salmon,Idaho where you will meet Erich, your trip leader and co-owner of Sawtooth Adventure Company. Erich will help with any last minute details or questions and give the first lesson on how to properly pack your dry bags.
Day 2: Launch Day. Enjoy the Stagecoach Inn's continental breakfast prior to departure. 8:00 a.m. The Adventure Begins- We will take a gorgeous drive down river to Corn Creek Boat Ramp. You will meet the remaining guide crew, receive a detailed safety talk and shove off onto the Salmon River of No Return. Your evening will include a Huge Western Style Meal.
Day 3: Hot Springs. 6:30 am - Enjoy one of many homemade breakfasts including Palmer's famous sourdough pancakes, made-to-order Omelet Bar, Fresh Fruit, Huevos Rancheros, Eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice. We will leave our camp around 9:30 a.m. and spend the day running a number of fun rapids and soaking in Barth Hot Springs.
Day 4: Rapid Day. After breakfast we will depart on a day full of rapids with names like Growler, Whiplash, Big Mallard, and Elkhorn. We will enjoy lunch at one of the numerous historical homesite's or breathtaking overlooks within the canyon.
Day 5: Lower Gorge. To start off the morning we run the rapids of the lower gorge. We will spend the afternoon on calmer water where the surrounding peaks tower over vast,white sandy beaches. We will celebrate beach life with a game of horseshoes or bocce while enjoying appetizers. We will have our Final Feast this evening, an outdoor eating experience you will not forget.
Day 6: Farewell Voyage. In the morning Idaho's Salmon River will bid you farewell with some of the best rapids of the trip. Just after noon we will arrive at the take out to meet our transportation vehicles. You will enjoy a beautiful drive to the beautiful mountain town of McCall Idaho.
Here is where we will part ways. Your crew will continue on to Stanley Idaho. Guests will depart from McCall that evening with their pre-arranged travel plan.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.
There are number of travel options prior to getting on the river and after you get off. We will provide you with the option that best meets your schedule and budget.
