Discover Norway on this breathtaking 6 day tour through natural wonders and picturesque villages. Begin with a guided tour through the bustling city of Bergen. Visit the town of Voss, where you will stop to view the enchanting Tvindefoss Waterfall, believed to the source of eternal youth. Cross mountain ranges, go on scenic ferry crossings, and relax while you enjoy the delights of cruising the fjords. See the world famous Briksdal Glacier, impressive waterfalls, such as the Seven Sisters, and journey along the banks of Lake Mjosa, the largest in Norway. A detour to the Briksdal Glacier is planned before finishing in Oslo.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Bergen. Transfer from Bergen Airport (or Norwegian Coastal Voyage pier) to hotel in connection with your flight
or ship arrival. Dinner and accommodation at Clarion Hotel Admiral, perfectly located overlooking Bergen's harbor in the center of the city. Includes: (D).
Day 2: Bergen-Balestrand. After a delicious buffet breakfast, start of 3 hour guided tour of Bergen, including a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, the famous Bryggen Harbor with its gabled pack houses and the old Hanseatic Quarter. You will also ride on the funicular to Mt. Fløien, for panoramic views of the city and fjords way below. Lunch at the Bryggeloftet Restaurant. Afternoon departure to the the town of Voss. Stop to view the enchanting Tvindefoss Waterfall, believed to the source of eternal youth. Continue across the Vika Mountains to Vangsness for the short ferry crossing crossing to the beautiful resort of Balestrand. Dinner and overnight at Kvikne's Hotel, one of Norway's finest hotels, superbly located in private grounds on the banks of the fjord and surrounded by mountains. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Balestrand. A whole day relaxing and enjoyable the delights of the fjords. After breakfast depart from Balestrand by coach to Slinde to board our own private sightseeing boat for a 2 hour cruise on the Sogne Fjord and Naeroy Fjord to the village of Gudvangen for lunch. After lunch ascend by coach to Stalheim for breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains peaks and Stalheim Canyon. Continue via picturesque villages of Flam and Aurland to Sogndal and take the ferry to arrive back in Balestrand in late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Kvikne's Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Balestrand-Nord Fjord-Geiranger Fjord. Continue by ferry along the fjord to Fjærland. Continue by coach passing under the Jostedal Glacier. Descend to the beautiful Nord Fjord via Olden to visit the world famous Briksdal Glacier. The journey up to the glacier will be in open cars for better view. A typical Norwegian lunch is served in sight of the glacier. Continue the tour via Loen and Stryn to the picturesque village of Hellesylt. Here board the ferry for the one hour's cruise along the spectacular Geiranger Fjord. During the cruise you will pass close by some impressive waterfalls, such as the Bridal Veil and the Seven Sisters. Dinner and accommodation at the excellent Union Hotel, overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Geiranger-Lillehammer-Oslo. Ascend the famous Serpentine Road with amazing views of the fjord below, before crossing the rugged Grotli Mountains to the village of Lom, famous for its 14th century stave church. The tour continues alongside Lake Vågå to Otta, then descends the wonderful Gudbrands Valley towards the town of Lillehammer. Lunch in Lillehammer and after visit the popular Olympia Park, before continuing the journey along the banks of Lake Mjøsa, the largest in Norway, arriving in the Norwegian capital during the early evening. Dinner and accommodation at Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel, ideally located in the city center. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Oslo Departure. Buffet breakfast at your hotel, followed by transfer to Oslo Airport in connection with your flight. Includes: (B).
