This tour combines the best wild life and wilderness areas of South Africa, blended with the rugged beauty so synonymous with the African continent. It incorporates the areas from the diverse KwaZulu-Natal with habitats such as lakes, rivers, dune forests, beaches, mangrove forests and sub-tropical vegetation to the Kingdom of Swaziland, one of only three sovereign Kingdoms in Africa, and Mpumalanga with mountains, valleys, waterfalls, pockets of primal forests. The famous Kruger National Park, covering around two million ha of African bushveld, is situated here. We also visit a private game lodge on the edge of the Kruger National Park. Here we are treated to open vehicle game drives with powerful spotlights in search of the nocturnal animals and game viewing on foot! The ultimate experience - what an adrenaline rush!

We visit The Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga as well as the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park in KwaZulu-Natal which complement each other splendidly in terms of habitat and wildlife. Once you have been on this tour, you will return home with those memories of mystical Africa you came here for.

Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Our first day on tour takes us from Johannesburg via Middelburg, Dullstroom and Sabie to Pilgrim´s Rest, the early gold mining town turned into a living museum. Rich deposits of alluvial gold were found here at the end of the 19th century, hence the existence of the town deep in the mountains. From here we travel to our overnight stop. Overnight Chilli Pepper Lodge / Royal Hotel.

We travel via Graskop to marvel at scenic areas such as Bourke's Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, God's Window and some of the spectacular waterfalls in the area. Finally we descend to the Lowveld via Abel Erasmus pass and the Strydom tunnel to arrive at Mohlabetsi private game reserve. This afternoon our encounter with Africa's wildlife begins as we travel on an open vehicle to search for the game. Enjoy a great dinner under the stars tonight (weather permitting) Overnight at Mohlabetsi.
