Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival - Nairobi. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to Sentrim Boulevard Hotel for overnight. After checking in, you will have pre-safari briefing. Overnight: Sentrim Boulevard Hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve. Meet your safari guide and head north through breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee. After Nanyuki town, you will reach the outpost known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier. Descend from the lush highlands to the arid Laikipia Plains and the small oasis of the famed Samburu Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch and short rest. Samburu lies on the fringe of the hot and sparsely populated northern region of Kenya. Afternoon game drive is included returning to the lodge as the sun sets. On a clear day you will enjoy the views of Kenya’s Tallest mountain Kenya on your way to Samburu. Overnight: Samburu Sopa or similar.
Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve. Pre-breakfast early morning game drive and afternoon game drives are included. Samburu is home to a number of unusual animals and birds such as the Grevy zebra, beisa oryx, dik dik, reticulated Giraffe and ostrich. Also, keep your eyes open for lion, cheetah and antelope on early morning and afternoon game drives. The Uaso Nyiro River provides bathing pools for hippos and elephants, and you may even spot a crocodile. There is also a splendid variety of birds. Overnight: Samburu Sopa or similar.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park. Depart early in the morning, then descend to the floor of the Valley and finally Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch. A game drive takes you into the park renown for its pink flamingos and a sanctuary for hundreds of other species of birds as well as leopard, black rhino and waterbuck. Lake Nakuru is the First Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa. At 1600hrs enjoy another afternoon game viewing returning to your lodge as the sun sets. Overnight: Lake Elementaita Lodge.
Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve. Climbing and leaving Lake Nakuru behind, you will climb the Western escarpment of the Rift Valley and head to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. You arrive in time for your mouth watering lunch and a little time for siesta before an afternoon game drive, that will take you around the world famous Masai Mara, the highlight of any safari in Kenya. Overnight: Mara Sopa.
Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives, affording opportunities to search for the "BIG 5": elephants, buffalos, lions, rhinos and leopards. This morning there is an optional tour of a hot air balloon ride to see the park from a bird’s eye view. Overnight: Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 7: Amboseli National Park. Breakfast in the lodge. Do enroute game drive before leaving Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi for lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Later proceed on and arrive in Amboseli. Do enroute game drive and watch the sunset in the background of majestic Kilimanjaro, Africa’s largest mountain. Amboseli is renown for its large herds of Elephants among other game. Overnight: Amboseli Sentrim Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Nairobi - Departure. Early morning pre-breakfast game drive with good views of sunrise and Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for an African lunch, after lunch you will be transferred back to airport for your outbound departure flight.
