ITINERARY
Day 1: Athens - Arrival. Arrival in Athens. Our representative will welcome you at the Athens International Airport and brief you on your itinerary and services offered. Transfer to your hotel in Athens. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the city. Overnight in Athens.
Day 2: Piraeus/ Mykonos. After breakfast transfer to the port of Piraeus to embark the 4-day cruise in the Greek islands and Turkey visiting Mykonos, Kusadasi (Turkey), Patmos, Rhodes, Heraklion, Santorini. Depart for Mykonos arriving there in early afternoon. Optional walking tour on the island of Mykonos. The ship sails for Kusadasi (Turkey).
Day 3: Kusadasi/ Patmos. Arrival at Kusadasi at 07:00. Optional tour at Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary OR just at Ancient Ephesus. Departure at 12:00 for Patmos. Arrival in Patmos at 16:00. If the weather allows this is a chance to join the optional tour to St. John's monastery and see the Apocalypse Grotto OR take the island scenic tour OR just enjoy your afternoon on the beach. Sail at 21:00 for Rhodes.
Day 4: Rhodes. Arrival in Rhodes at 07:00. Optional tour to Rhodes and Lindos combined OR tour the Old City and Philerimos OR tour to Lindos and lunch by the beach. Departing at 18:00 for Heraklion.
Day 5: Heraklion/ Santorini. Arrival in Heraklion and join the optional excursions to the Knossos Palace and the Museum in the city of Heraklion. Sail at 11:30 for Santorini. Arrival in Santorini at 16:30. Join the optional tour to Thira and Oia OR sail to the volcano island. Depart at 21:00.
Day 6: Athens. Arrival in Piraeus at approximately 06:00. Our representative will meet you and the bus will take you on to the Athens Sightseeing tour visiting the most important sites of the city and the Acropolis. In the afternoon you may join an optional excursion to Cape Sounion to visit the Temple of Poseidon.
Day 7: Mycenae/ Epidaurus/ Olympia. After breakfast we start on the 4-day Classical Tour. Morning departure from your hotel and first stop for a coffee break at the Canal of Corinth. The tour will continue to Mycenae for visiting the famous Palace, the Lions Gate and the Tomb of King Agamemnon. The next stop will be at Epidaurus for visiting the Ancient Theater. Passing by the Bay of Nauplion, we will picturesque town of Nauplion. Driving through the Central Peloponnese, Arcadia, as well as the towns of Tripoli and Megalopolis arrive in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. Dinner and overnight in Olympia.
Day 8: Olympia/ Delphi. In Olympia you will have the opportunity to visit with the guide the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus and the museum. Departure for Delphi through Patras, the capital of the Peloponnese. Crossing the new famous bridge from Rio to Antirion and passing by Nafpaktos (Lepanto), make a stop at the seaside areas of either Galaxidi or Itea. Arrive in Delphi. Dinner and overnight in Delphi.
Day 9: Delphi/ Kalambaka. In the morning visit the museum of Delphi with the famous bronze Charioteer, the statue of Antinoos and the athlete Aghias and then depart for Kalambaka driving through the city of Lamia and passing by numerous picturesque villages and small towns of Central Greece. Overnight in Kalambaka.
Day 10: Meteora/ Athens. Visit of the well-known Meteora with its Byzantine Monasteries constructed on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air. In the afternoon return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the Leonida's Monument) and Kammena Vourla. Arrive in Athens in the evening. Overnight in Athens.
Day 11: Aegina/ Poros/ Hydra. After breakfast the bus will transfer you to port to embark the ship for your full-day Saronic cruise visiting the islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra (lunch on board). Late afternoon arrival in Athens. Overnight in Athens.
Day 12: Athens - Departure. After breakfast the bus will transfer you to the Athens International Airport for your flight home.
