Day 1: Christchurch. Explore the inner city of Christchurch by historic Tram & tranquil Punt. The Tram provides an informative commentary of the most interesting & historic sights in the city. Stroll around the pretty Botanical Gardens, visit the Arts Centre, Cathedral Square & historic Riccarton House. Have dinner over in funky Lyttelton (own expense). Overnight in our partner accommodation in Christchurch.
Day 2: Christchurch—Akaroa. Drive over to charming Akaroa which is a historic French & British settlement nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano. Take your time and wander through this picturesque village Swim with wild Hectors (the worlds smallest & rarest) dolphins in their natural habitat. Overnight in our partner accommodation in Akaroa
Day 3: Akaroa—Hanmer Springs—Kaikoura. Drive from Akaroa to Hanmer Springs & have a relaxing soak in the therapeutic hot pools. Take the inland scenic route to Kaikoura. Eat locally caught seafood for dinner tonight. Overnight in our partner accommodation in Kaikoura
Day 4: Kaikoura—Christchurch. Experience a spectacular whale watch tour in Kaikoura. Visit Waipara’s finest wineries on the way back to Christchurch
