Start our pick up from the various hotels at 09:00 o'clock to drive via Serrekunda to see the busiest town in The Gambia. Driving continues with a stop at the Abouko Abattoir where cattle are sold in cash and battering. From there driving continues to The Gambia Good Farm in Yundum where you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink made of local juice. There will be plenty of time to see a local nursery, different methods of irrigation. There are modern toilet facilities and a fixed price farm and craft shop. This farm establishes a link between farmers and the tourism industry, supplying hotels with local grown produce.

From Yundum, driving continues to Brikama and later to Sifo, a typical Gambian village approx 10km past Brikama. A visit is made to the Local Beekeepers Association Farm which has been in existence for 25 years. You can see traditional and modern hives and learn how honey is used to complement local food and how it is utilized for traditional medicinal purposes. A visit to the compound of the Association’s President, Manjinki Jabang, the family head and his two wives who will welcome you to their traditional home which houses an extended family of 23 people including numerous children.

From Sifo, we drive to Sanyang where you will stop for lunch on the beautiful white sandy beach of the south coast of the Gambia. Lunch is served in a nice African style hut and later driving continues. A quick stop on the way back at Tanje Fishing village to see how the fishermen operate their daily business and how the fishes are smoked to be shipped out of The Gambia. From Tanje, drive back to the hotels to be dropped off. Approx. time of return 17:00 o'clock.
