Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: San Diego Arrival. Arrive at San Diego International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: San Diego - Palm Springs. This morning you pick up your motorcycle and begin your exciting journey. Take Hwy 15 north up to Lake Elsinore, where you enter Hwy 74. You ride up to Mountain Center and then on to the “Palm to Pines Nat’l Scenic Hwy” (Hwy 243). Enjoy your ride through the San Jacinto Mountains. In Banning you turn right and take Hwy 111 to Palm Springs. Overnight.
Day 3: Palm Springs - Laughlin. From Palm Springs you continue north-east on Hwy 62 to Joshua Tree. Take Park Road to visit Joshua Tree National Park. Stay on Quail Springs Road and then turn left on Utah Trail to Twentynine Palms. Here, your journey gets legendary appeal, as you enter historic Route 66, which takes you all the way to the gambling oasis of Laughlin, Nevada. Overnight.
Day 4: Laughlin - Phoenix. From Laughlin it’s off to Kingman, the heart of historic Route 66. You might like to spend some time in this very charming town before you continue on Hwy 93 south towards Phoenix. Phoenix is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, partly due to the dry climate and many days of sunshine. Overnight.
Day 5: Phoenix - Yuma. You continue to the southwestern corner of Arizona. Ride along Hwy 8 through the Sonoran Desert – see the Gila Bend Mountains and Mohawk Mountains on your way to Yuma, which is located at the eastern banks of the Colorado River. Overnight.
Day 6: Yuma - Julian. You follow Hwy 8 back into California and ride through the Imperial Valley. Enjoy a scenic desert ride with a little history…at Ocotillo you take the S2, which is the very same road that the Butterfield Stage Coach took in the mid-1800’s. Today’s destination is Julian, a historic gold-mining town in the Cuyamaca Mountains above the Colorado Desert. Overnight.
Day 7: Julian - San Diego. Today you take a scenic ride back to San Diego. Hwy 76 will take you through Cleveland National Forest out to Oceanside. From here ride PCH south towards San Diego and enjoy the beautiful seaside resorts of Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar. Once you are back in San Diego it will be time to return your motorcycle and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 8: San Diego Departure. Today your exciting trip will end with your departure flight back home.
