Day 1: You will leave for your flight to Beijing. The adventure begins!
Day 2: You will arrive in Beijing in the evening and will be transferred to your hotel.

2-day OPTION A:
Day 3: Today we will take you to the 2nd Hand Street Market, which is where Beijinger’s shop. After lunch you will go to the Temple of Heaven, which is where the Emperor went every year to commune with the gods
Day 4: Today we will take you to the Ming Tombs, including both entering one of the tombs and walking the Sacred Way. After lunch we will go onto the incredible Great Wall of China (at Badaling). It is an incredible feeling to be standing on one of the Seven Wonders of the World, which is over 3,900 miles in length! We will then return you to your hotel. B, L, D
2-day OPTION B: 2nd Hand St. Mkt and OVERNIGHT ON THE GREAT WALL!
Day 3: Today we will take you to the 2nd Hand Street Market, which is where Beijinger’s shop. Then we will take you to a special part of the Great Wall at Jinshanling. There you will meet your hosts. They will take you to the Great Wall and show you the options of where you will sleep. You can then explore the wall and walk along. Later your hosts will cook for you a home-cooked meal which you can eat either on the Great Wall or down below in their home. B, L, D
Day 4: You will wake up on one of the Wonders of the World! It is certainly the longest of the Wonders. You can spend more time enjoying the wall. After you have finished with your time there you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 5: The day begins with a tour of a Chinese Hutong. This begins with a rickshaw ride through the old neighborhood, then a short walking tour into the narrow streets of the Hutong. You will be able to visit the home of a family who lives there and you can ask any questions. After lunch we will take you to TianAnmen Square, the main meeting place in Beijing and then to the Forbidden City, the Emperor’s Palace from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In addition to seeing the buildings and grounds of the Emperor’s Palace, we will also take you to the Jewelry Collection and the Emperor’s Clock Collection. Then we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Xi’an. There your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
Evening Option: Chinese Acrobats
Day 6: The day begins with a tour of the city, including the old city wall and the Wild Goose Pagoda, with its Drum Tower and Bell Tower. After lunch we will take you to the World-Class Shaanxi Provincial Museum. We will then take you to the City Bell Tower B, L, D
Dinner: A Dim Sum Restaurant
Day 7: Today we will take you to what has been called the "8th Wonder of the World" the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum. Then we will transfer you to the airport for a flight back to Beijing. The guide will transfer you back to the hotel. B, L, D
Day 8: Today you will fly from Beijing to UlaanBaatar, Mongolia! When you arrive at the airport of UlaanBaatar, your guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will visit the Chingiis Khan Campground on the way into Ulaanbaatar. Then you will go to UlaanBaatar After a brief orientation of the center of town (including Sukhbaatar Square and the surrounding buildings) and we will transfer you to the hotel. B, L
In the evening we will take to Tumen Enkh National Performers (concert which includes the Tsam dance, traditional Mongolian singers, dancers, Tuvan throat singing and contortionists).
Day 9: In the morning you will visit the Gandan Monastery (80 foot tall statue of Buddha, practicing Tibetan Buddhist Lamas). Then you will visit Choijin Lama Temple Museum. After lunch, we will take you to the National History Museum (which has some wonderful exhibits, especially concerning Chingiis Khan and the tribal costumes). B,L
Karakhorum Trek:
Day 10: You leave in the morning to go on a trek to Karakhorum, the ancient capital of Chinggis Khan and See the beautiful Mongolian Steppe (and the Shoestring Gobi patch). Then you will visit Nomads along the way and enjoy Nomad hospitality. Arrive at the ger camp. Go to the 9th century stone tortoises. Eat and sleep at ger camp. B, L, D
Day 11: You start the day in Karakhorum. There are several interesting buildings, Buddhist artwork and possibly view a Buddhist service. Then we drive back east and visit the Dutch Horse Ranch. We will spend the night there. B, L, D
Day 12: After breakfast, you will return to UB. You will check into the hotel. After lunch the rest of the day is free. B, L
Evening Option: Ger restaurant with a private cultural show.
Day 13: Go to the wonderful Nadaam Festival! This national celebration of independence includes an opening ceremony in Nadaam Stadium and a competition of the three national sports- Horse-racing, Archery and Wrestling. You will view the opening ceremonies and some of the competition of each of the three sports. B, L,
Day 14: Today you will visit the Chojiid Lama Buddhist Museum. Then we will take you to the Bogd Khan Summer and Winter Palace, which has many interesting sights, such as a ger covered in snow leapord pelts and an empress’s dress with over 11,000 pearls.
Day 15: Today you will visit a Mongolian family in the countryside where you will have a great experience of everyday life of nomad people. You will have an opportunity to ride horses. Then we will take you to back to your hotel.
Return to USA:
Day 16: You will be transferred for an early flight back to Beijing and then you will continue on to the U.S. with a lifetime of memories.
