Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Depart UK. Board flight to Kolkatta (Calcutta).
Day 2: Arrive Kolkatta (Calcutta). On arrival in Kolkata by your international flight meet and greet at the airport and transfer to hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 3: Kolkatta-Darjeeling. Fly to Baldogra and on arrival transfer to car to drive to Darjeeling. On arrival in Darjeeling, check into the hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 4: In Darjeeling: After breakfast depart for full day sightseeing tour visiting Kanchanjunga Views, Observatory Hill and Ghoom Gompa which is basically the statue of Buddha.
Day 5: In Darjeeling. Day free for independent activities.
Day 6: Darjeeling-Gangtok. In the morning, drive to Gangtok and on arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free to explore this sleepy town.
Day 7: In the morning, city tour of Gangtok visit Parmesan Nadia Himalayan Zoological park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Ropeway, Tensing - Gumbo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tea Estate, Lebong Race Course, Peace Pagoda & Rock Garden - Gangamaya Park. Evening at leisure.
Day 8: Gangtok-Kalimpong. In the morning, drive to Kalimpong and on arrival check into the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 9: Kalimpsong-Phuntsholing (Bhutan). In the morning, drive to Phuntsholing and after the immigration formalities, transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 10: Phuntsholing-Paro. In the morning, drive to Paro and on arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the town.
Day 11: In Paro. Drive to Drukgyel Dzong, 21kms away from the hotel. On the way back, visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse and a sightseeing trip to Paro town. After lunch, drive to Ta Dzong which house the National Museum followed by a short walk to Paro Rimpung Dzong.
Day 12: Paro-Thimphu. In the morning, drive to Satsam Chorten. Then, take 3 hours pony trek to the Taktsang cafeteria from where you could view the Taktsang Monastery built in the 13th century. After lunch, walk back to Satsam Chorten, followed by a 2 hours drive to Thimphu.
Day 13: In Thimphu. In the morning, witness mask and folk dances performed by the Royal Academy of Performing Arts. After that, visit the National Library and Memorial Chorten. After lunch, visit the Handicrafts Emporium and stroll Thimphu town. In the evening, visit the Tashichhodzong.
Day 14: In the morning, drive to Wangdue via the Dochula pass and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Majestic Himalayan ranges at the Dochula café over a hot cup of tea or coffee. After lunch, drive to Punakha, the old capital of Bhutan.
Day 15: In the morning, drive to Thimphu. Lunch in town and after lunch, drive to Paro. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 16: Paro-Kolkatta (Depart Kolkatta). Early morning, transfer to airport in time to board your flight to Kolkatta. In Kolkatta, board your onward return flight to UK.
