Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Our team welcomes and assists you at your arrival in the international airport of Dakar. We transfer you to one of the deluxe hotel of Dakar: Hotel Savannah or similar hotel, Bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Dakar
At 9am, departure for a city tour in Dakar. Highlights: sand painting and art craft markets, the African art museum, the university, the independence square, the presidential palace, the mosque, the cathedral, and the crowded local market. At midday we take the ferry for Goree Island the former slave trade station, (25mn of boat riding). Lunch at 1pm: in one of the best restaurant in the island. At 3 pm visit of the slave house museum, women museum, historical museum. Stroll around that historical island. At 6pm we take the boat back to Dakar and transfer you to your hotel, Bed and breakfast.
Day 3: At 8:30 am we leave Dakar for the pink lake the famous arrival point of the rally Paris-Dakar, Tour around the lake to visit some salt diggers and villages. Lunch at midday. At 2 pm we continue the trip to Saint-Louis the old French colonial city in the north of Senegal. In this city every year on May the international jazz festival is celebrated. Arrival at your hotel around 6pm. Diner + bed breakfast in the hotel Capsaintlouis 4*or hotel Mermoz 4*or similar.
Day 4: Relaxation in the morning, At 4:30pm departure to visit the historical island of Saint Louis on horse driven carriage. (1h30mn of touring) Back to your hotel around 6pm. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 5: AT 8:00 am departure to visit one of the bird parks of the region according to the season: the park of Djoudj or the park of the langue of Barbarie. 2hours strolling in African motorized canoes to enjoy watching a variety of birds. Lunch at a restaurant near the park around 1pm. At 3pm we take the way back to your hotel. Rest or swimming in the pool. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 6: Relaxation in the morning. You can profit by other leisure activities. Water sports, horse riding.At 4pm: we go to visit the local and art craft market. Back to the hotel around 6pm. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 7: Departure at 8:30 for Kaolack, the capital city of Sine Saloum region. Along the way you will visit an African village and the biggest mosque of West Africa. You can lunch at a middle class African restaurant before reaching your 3-star hotel in Kaolack around 6 pm. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 8: Departure for the south-eastern area. Visit of an African village, Lunch at Tambacounda the capital city of that region. In the afternoon, relax in your hotel Wassadou 3* or in Relais Tamba 3*. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 9: AT 10am, departure for the park Niokolokoba the biggest park in West Africa (913 000ha). Lunch at the park restaurant. From 4pm to 6pm safari in the park. Overnight in the Lodge of the park, near the river Gambia. From that nice place you can enjoy watching hippos, crocodiles. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 10: At 8am departure for a safari in the park to see a variety of antelopes, monkeys, buffaloes, birds, lions. Lunch at midday. In the afternoon, the safari resumed from 4pm to 6pm. Overnight in the same lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: In the morning safari in the park. In the afternoon relax. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 12: Departure at 9am for Kedougou the closer city. Lunch around midday at Bedik hotel. AT 3pm visit the traditional animist village of bedik people. 1h trekking to reach their village Interesting local cultures to discover. Back to Kedougou.Overnight in The Bedik hotel 3*. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 13: At 8am departure to visit the waterfalls of Ndindefelo. Visit of another tribe. Possibilities for trekking on the highest hill of Senegal (500m high). We take pick nick for lunch from the hotel Bedik. You can enjoy swimming in the waterfalls natural pool. At 4pm, road back to arrive to the hotel around 6pm. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 14: At 9am departure to visit the Bassari village of Salemata (Pick nick for lunch). Back to the hotel around 6pm. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 15: AT 9am departure for Tamba. Lunch around 1pm. In the afternoon relax in your hotel Tamba. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 16: At 8am departure for Sinesaloum islands. Lunch at Kaolack hotel. On our arrival to the Sinesaloum west coast around 5pm we take the motorized canoes to the islands (1h30mn boat riding). Overnight in one of the best island lodge. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 17: Departure at 8am on the motorized canoes for a fishing party. Back to the lodge around midday for lunch. In the afternoon departure at 4pm on horse- driven carriage to visit the island villages. Back to the hotel at 6pm. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 18: At 8am we leave the Saloum islands to take back the road to visit the shell fish island of Joal-fadiouth lunch around 1pm at a restaurant nearby. At 3pm we continue to the petite cote the most important coast resorts in Senegal. At 5pm you arrive to your deluxe hotel in Saly: Lamantin hotel, Espadon hotel, Neptune hotel or Royam hotel. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 19: Relaxation, you can enjoy other leisure activities. Water sports, golf, motoquads, horse-riding, bycicle, legal gambling, etc. At 5pm we take you to visit the local and art craft market of Mbour (15 min driving). You will attend also the impressive arrival of the fisher men at Mbour harbour. Back to your hotel around 6:30mn pm. Overnight in the same hotel. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 20: Rest and relaxe. Optional tour: Safari in Bandia Reserve (800 HA) to see a variety of antelopes, giraffe, buffaloes, rinos etc. Departure at 4pm. Back to the hotel around 6pm. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 21: We transfer you to the International airport of Dakar to take your flight back home. End of the tour.
