Causeni Church: We get into an aloof and enigmatic region, called Causeni. This is where an ancient architectural monument of a particular artistic and historical value is situated – a church built in 1763. The walls of the church are fully covered with antique frescoes. It seems that the church is lost among the centuries. The fact that makes this church unique is its construction. The church is half-buried into the ground. The explanation of the fact is a legend that dates from the times when the Tatars were living on the territory. It is said that the Tatars admitted the construction of a Christian church with the condition that it will be the height of a man riding a horse.

Purcari Winery: Few people today have not heard about the legendary triumph of Negru de Purcari. It was in the mid-19th century that Europe heard for the first time about this amazing, unusually dark wine of an intense hue. In 1878 Negru de Purcari participated in the Paris Exhibition and received the highest award- the gold medal. The best wine tasters of the world were charmed by the gracious flavor and dense, saturated taste of this wine. The brilliant victory of Negru de Purcari made famous the small, unknown country by winning a competition against the best French wines. The steady quality is certified by the glitter of numerous medals won at international contents, which help recuperate the lost glory of Moldovan winemaking. However, the most important thing is that the people of this area cherish the history of the place. The legend of this great wine will please the gourmets, and in time it will only become more beautiful and acquire new layers of mystery.

Note: Fishing lovers will have the possibility to go fishing at the nearby lake and even to cook the fish on the spot. There is also a big tennis court and a billiard table that will make your rest pleaseant and unforgetable.
