Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Dakar international airport. We met you and transfer you to hotel Savana Dakar 4-star or similar. Overnight.
Day 2: At 8:30 am you will have a briefing with our local English speaking guide about the tour program. At 9:30 check out and transfer to Dakar harbor to take the ferry-boat for Goree Island that former slave trade center. Visit of the Slave house museums, women museums, historical museums. Stroll around that beautiful island. Lunch at one of the best restaurant on the island. After lunch back on ferry to Dakar for a city tour. Visit of Dakar African art museums Ifan, presidential palace and continuation towards the pink lake called lac rose that was the final end of the international famous rally Paris-Dakar. Overnight in Chez Salim lodge or similar.
Day 3: Around 9:30 am you will get on 4 X 4 pick up for a tour around the lake following the last tour of the rally Paris-Dakar. Lunch around midday at the lodge. At 3:00 pm continuation towards Saintlouis. Visit a local village along the way to meet some Senegalese ethnic groups. Arrival in the evening to Saintlouis the old French colonial city. Check in hotel Capsaintlouis 4-star or similar. Includes dinner.
Day 4: In the morning you will visit one of the birds’ parks of that region: the park of Djoudj or the park of the Langue de Barbarie according to the season. Boating tour in the river Senegal for bird watching and to admire that nice area. Lunch at the park restaurant and transfer back to Saint-Louis. Visit Saintlouis art craft market and city tour on horse drawn carriage to discover the history of Saintlouis Island with its typical old colonial houses. Return to the same hotel in the evening. Dinner is included.
Day 5: Check out at 7:30 am and departure for Kaolack one of the capital city of SineSaloum region. Meet local villages along the way. Lunch at the restaurant relais-hotel in Kaolack. In the afternoon visit of Kaolack art craft market and its local colorful markets the biggest in Senegal. Continuation to Foundiougne to arrive in your lodge-hotel Les Piroguiers in the evening. Dinner included.
Day 6: In the morning boating in the river Sine saloum to discover that magical scenery made of mangrove and islands and fishing party. At midday picnic for lunch on a virgin white sand beach. Afternoon visit local villages. Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner is included.
Day 7: Check out at 9:00 am and transfer to Ndangane fishing village where you get on boats for Marlodj Islands. Lunch at Bazouk restaurant. Afternoon you will visit the Marlodj villages to learn more about the rich cultures of Serere’s people. Back to the inland and continuation to Djiffer fishing village where you will get on boats again for Niominka lodge 4-star located on an island between a lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. Dinner is included.
Day 8: In the morning boating tour in the wonderful Delta of Sine saloum river. Back to the lodge for lunch and check out. Continuation of your trip towards Joal-Fadiouth. Stop to visit the biggest Baobab tree in the region. You will enjoy visiting Joal-fadiouth village made of shellfishes. Local people will introduce you their rich authentic cultures. In the evening you will arrive to your hotel Teranga Saly 4-star located at the sea side or similar. Dinner is included.
Day 9: Departure at 9:00 am for a Safari in Bandia park to watch savage animals like buffaloes, monkeys, a variety of antelopes, rhinos, zebras. At midday transfer to Mbour city for lunch. In Mbour you will visit the orphanage center, art craft market, the impressive fishing harbor. Return to your hotel in the evening. Farewell dinner.
Day 10: Check out and transfer to Dakar international airport to take your flight back home. End of the Tour.
