You can travel to Lhasa by air & train, where you will be warmly received with Tibetan ceremonial scarfes (khatag) by our Tibetan guide at the airport or train station. You will then make excursions to the most sacred palaces and monasteries of Lhasa such as the Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, the Jokhang Temple and Norbulingka ( the Dalai Lama's Summer Palace) before proceeding overland to Gyantse, Shigatse, Shalu Monastery, Sakya Monastery, Mt.Everest, Tingri and Zhangmu.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa Gangar airport(3650 m) 1 hr. 30 minutes flight. After breakfast,we will transfer the group to Tribhuvan International Airport to board Air China's Flight No. CA 408 to Lhasa at 10:25 am. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, the group shall be met by our local representative and transfer provided to your hotel in Lhasa and you will stop at Nyithang Stone Buddha for photograph,which carved in the 11th century by the Zhomthong Ba,A famouse disaple of Indain Master who named Atu Sha. The group will reach the Hotel Lhasa at approx 4 pm,The first day will be spent resting to acclamatize with the altitude because Kathmandu is at 1200 m above sea level and Lhasa is at 3650 m. So it needs some time to acclimatize with the altitude. Overnight at Keychu Hotel.(Veg lunch & Dinner).
Day 2: Sightseeing. AM: Sera Monastery, PM:Jokhang temple. Sera is the second biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa, which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa's disciple Sakya-yeshi. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang, one of the oldest temples in Tibet, was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king Sontsanganbu. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple. Includes: (FB).
Day 3: Sightseeing. AM: Potala Palace, PM:Jokhang and Norbulinka. Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai lama in the 17th century. Built in the mid-18th century by the 7th Dalailama, Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalai lama's summer palace, it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions and a zoo. Drepung monastery: Built in 1416 by Tsongapa's disciple Jamyang-choje, Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa. Includes: (FB).
Day 4: Drive to Gyantse 260km (7hrs). Drive through the Yamdoktso lake and next morning visit Palcheo Monastery with Kubum Stupa and excursion around the old town.
Day 5: Drive to Shigatse 90km (2hrs). Drive to Tibet's second larggest city and en-route via Shalu Monastery,Afternoon visit Tashi Lunbu Monastery Overnight at Hotel Manasarova.
Day 6: Drrive to Xegar 90km (7hrs). Drive to Xegar (Ne Tingri) Via Sakya Monastery Overnight at Everest Hotel.
Day 7: Drive to Rongbuk Monastery 120KM (4hrs). Drive to Rongbuk monastery and excursion around Base Camp or highest monastery on the world, Rongbuk Monastery then continue to drive Old Tingri Overnight at Snow Leapord Hotel.
Day 8: Drive to Xhangmu / Exit to Nepal 188km (7hrs).

Destination: Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse, Xegar(New Tingri), Old Tingri, Rongbuk Monastery & Base Camp, Nyalam, Zhangmu.
Maximum Altitude: 2225m.
Best Season: Jan, Feb, March, April, May, June, Aug, Sept, Oct.
Photo Sport: Samye, Sera, Jokhang.
