Tour Itinerary:
Day 0: Whitehorse, Yukon
Hopefully you enjoyed your travels and have arrived safely in Whitehorse, the Yukon’s capital city, nestled among the wilderness. Please arrive in Whitehorse in time for an orientation meeting at 8:30 pm the night before our departure. Guests are responsible for accommodation and meals while in Whitehorse. Whitehorse is a splendid little city and we recommend booking some additional time at either the beginning or the end of your trip to see Whitehorse.
Day 1: M19346 Staff will pick you up from your hotels starting at 7:00 am. Please finish eating breakfast (not included) by this time with a planned departure from Whitehorse by 8:00 am. We will drive south along the Klondike Highway and then turn on to the locally famous Annie Lake Road, which delivers us to the edge of the Yukon’s Costal Mountains. We will ascend into the alpine and enjoy our first night of endless light and the alpenglow of these tranquil mountains. Includes: (L, D).
Days 2-6: We will continue our off-trail backpacking loop through the Coastal Mountains along a route that will bring us close to hanging glaciers, and impressive cirques prevalent in the area. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 7: Today after breakfast we will hike down from our last camping location to meet M19346 staff who will shuttle us the short 1-hour drive back to Whitehorse. It will be sad to leave these beautiful mountains of glaciers and rugged beauty. Dinner and hotel not included. Includes: (B, L).
