Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive to Addis Ababa, transfer to hotel, city tour.
Day 2:Through the high pick around Enotot, drive to the thirteen Century Monastery of Debre Libanos. On the way, it is possible to see many endemic birds and gelada baboons. After Lunch, continue to the blue Nile George, similar to the Grand Canyon in USA. Over night, Debre Markos in a hotel.
Day 3: Drive to Bahir Dar and transfer to hotel. After lunch, boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the monasteries. Overnight hotel.
Day 4: Early in the morning visit of the Blue Nile Falls, locally called Tisisat (smoking water). In the afternoon visit the market and the hippos on Blue Nile River. Overnight hotel.
Day 5: Through attractive and natural sites transfer to Gondar. City tour to visit the castles and churches. Overnight hotel.
Day 6: Early in the morning transfer to simien National park, well known as the roof of Africa, for over night Simien lodge / Debark in a local hotel.
Day 7: Through the twisting road of Limalimo, built by Italians during World War II descend and ascend the Tekeze River Valley and arrival to Axum, capital of Ethiopia from the first to the seventh Century. Overnight in Yeha Hotel.
Day 8: Visit of Axum city archeological sites and its churches, the oldest once in the Ethiopian culture. Overnight in hotel.
Day 9: Transfer to a place called Yeha to visit a temple built in the 5th BC time and continue to Debre Damo Monastery (built in the 6th century AD) where it is possible, only for men, to climb with ropes the mountain in order to visit the church on top. Continue to Abrha Atsbha (first residence of Christian kings of Ethiopia). Overnight Mekele in hotel.
Day 10: Drive to Lalibela. Over night Lalaibela in a hotel.
Day 11: In the morning Visit of the First group of rock hewn churches and in the after noon visit the second group of churches. Over night hotel.
Day 12: Visit the churches out side Lalibela for full day. Over night hotel.
Day 13: Drive to Kombolcha on the way visit the monastery of Haik Stifano which is set up in the 15th century on lake Haike. Overnight Kombolcha in a hotel.
Day 14: Through the magnificent and cultural sites drive to Addis Ababa. Over night in a hotel.
Day 15: Departure back home.
