Let us invite you on a wine tour of the great wine jewel region in British Columbia, the Okanagan Valley. Igal Amsallem of Ambiance Vins is a certified Sommelier, Wine Instructor and Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Kelowna - Osoyoos. We meet at Kelowna Airport at 10am. This morning we drive the length of the Okanagan Valley, about two hours. One we arrive in Osoyoos we will have lunch in the Sonoro Room on the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. After lunch we will tour and sample wine from Burrowing Owl Estate. The remainder of our afternoon is busy; we will visit Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate Winery, Osoyoos Larose Estate Winery, and Le Vieux Pin. We will stay overnight at the Spirit Ridge Lodge on the Nk'mip Cellars Estate. Dinner will be in the lodge's restaurant.
Day 2: Osoyoos - Summerland. After breakfast, we will tour and sample wine at the Nk'mip Cellars Estate. During the remainder of the day we will tour the eastern slopes of the Okanagan Valley; Blue mountain Vineyards & Cellars, Blasted Church Vineyards, and See Ya Later Ranch at Hawthorne Mountain Vineyards. Lunch will be at Earls Restaurant in Penticton. We stay the next two evenings at the Waterfront Resort in Summerland. Dinner will be at the Villa Rosa in Penticton.
Day 3: Day tour to Naramata. We will have breakfast at the Waterfront Resort and then spend the day exploring the Naramata Bench. Wineries visited will be La Frenz Estate Winery, Red Rooster Winery, Lang Vineyards, and Poplar Grove Winery. Lunch is at Earls. Dinner is in the restaurant of the Waterfront Resort, with the magnificient backdrop of Okanagan Lake.
Day 4: Summerland - Westbank. After breakfast and checking out, we visit the Sumac Ridge Estate Winery, Thornhaven Estate Winery, and Dirty Laundry Vineyard. Lunch is at the Cellar Door Bistro, at Sumac Ridge Estate Winery. We take a break in the afternoon and catch a ride on the historic Kettle Valley Railway. In the late afternoon we drive to Westbank, to check into the Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott. Dinner is at the restaurant on the Quail's Gate Estate Winery.
Day 5: Westbank. This morning we will visit Quail's Gate Estate Winery, Mission Hill Estate Winery, Summerhill Pyramid Winery, and Cedar Creek Estate Winery. Lunch is at the restaurant of the Summerhill Pyramid Winery. We arrive back at the Kelowna Airport by 3:30pm to allow participants time to make flights back to Vancouver.
