Day 1: Arrival, welcome, diner and night at Sofitel.

Day 2: Departure for Manega and its Bendrologie museum (drums’ language), ethnological treasure witch collecting sacred masks, musical instruments, gravestones, statues and putting together social lives’ scenes. Lunch at noon at Kongoussi, near the lake of Bam. Diner and night at Ouahigouya, one of the historical capitals of the Mossis’ people (the largest ethnic group in Burkina Faso).

Day 3: After the breakfast, we will take the road for Mali. After Koro, we will go on a forgotten track witch will lead us to the heart of the Dogons’ country. We will cross the Dogons’ plain (stop to see the more beautiful Togunas) to arrive at the cliff of Bandiagara. Lunch at Sangha, then we will visit the village. Diner and night at the encampment of Sangha.

Days 4-6: Walking on winding tracks, stones busy, you will visit: Banani, Pogue, Irelli, beautiful villages hitched to the mass of fallen stones. You will be accompanied by a dogons’ guide that will initiate you into his knowledge. Then, return in the evening to the encampment for diner and passing the night.

Day 7: After breakfast, departure for Mopti, considered as the Malis’ Venice, at the confluence of Niger river and Bani river. Lunch at Bozo, on the port: hard smells and various colors are all meeting, looking the ballet of pinasses and other dugout canoes. In the afternoon, visit of the town, then diner and night at Ambedjele *** hotel.

Day 8: Roaming in a boat on the Niger river, visit of the Bozos’ villages (fishermen), then departure for Djenne. Town trip and visit of its mud mosque (considered as the highest mud monument in the world). Diner and night at the encampment of Djenne.

Day 9: Return towards Burkina Faso by San and Koutiala, alternation of savanna and forest. Lunch in a local restaurant and arrival at the end of the afternoon in Bobo Dioulasso, diner and passing the night at the Auberge hotel.

Day 10: Bobo, second town of Burkina, is a green city, lively and rich of traditional music. Visit of the museum, where are put together, in their real size, the different settlements of Burkina. Visit in the old areas and its hundred years old mosque (mud made). Lunch at the Pacha, then tour in the afternoon to the pond of the sacred Silures, musical evening (balafon and djembe) for sleep laters. Diner and night at Auberge *** hotel.

Day 11: We will join Banfora where you will visit sugar cane plantations and the refinery. A stop to admire the domes of Fabedougou, looking as real calcareous caeced by erosion. Followed by a walk around the waterfalls of Kerfiguela where bathing is possible. Visit in the Senoufos’ villages where you will see the crafts-men’s work (basketwork, pottery). Meal and night at the Canne à Sucre*** hotel.

Day 12: After breakfast, you will look after hippopotamus in Tengrela Lake, on a pirogue. Then, departure for the Lobis’ country. Stop at Loropeni to visit the ruins (the origins of the fort are unknown, may have been a place where slaves were collected). In Obire, you will meet the King of Gan (small ethnic group insisting on holding their identity). Picnic at noon, diner and night at Hala ** hotel.

Day 13: Visit of Gaoua and its museum: it will give you opportunity of being initiated to the Lobis’ culture (statuettes, usual tools, photos, explanatory noticeboards). The aim of that day is the discovery of Lobis’ villages where, sometimes, it is possible to assist to some traditional ceremonies. Diner and night at Hala hotel.

Day 14: In Diebougou, you will visit a kind of fortress inside a cave, Germains’ remains of the First World War. Lunch at Sabou and visit to the sacred crocodiles (take care, they don’t know). Return to Ouagadougou in the afternoon, dinner and passing the night at Mercure Silmande.

Day 15: Visit of Ouagadougou: crafts-men’s center, bronze makers, shopping. Lunch in the hotel and transfer to the airport at the end of the afternoon.
