Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to San Salvador. Welcome - Transfer from Airport to Hotel in the city. Visit the main streets of San Salvador, the primary residential zones, the Historical Center: San Salvador´s Cathedral, the National Palace and the National Theater, the Handcrafts Market, Los Planes de Renderos and La Puerta del Diablo (The Devil´s Door). Evening free (Night City Tour Optional).
Day 2: Old City Suchitoto, Colonial Architecture. After breakfast, departure to Ilobasco. This town is specialized in typical decorative ceramic objects especially miniatures with a very delicate and meticulous process. Visit the workshops and a variety of shops where you will find the most colorful expressions of the imagination of these craftsmen. Visit the mud and miniature handicrafts, typical of the place. Later, visit "La Bermuda" an archaeological site, representing first location of the Salvadoran capital of San Salvador. San Salvador was established here in 1528, while the Conquest was still in progress. This site is one of the best preserved Conquest-period Spanish sites in the hemisphere. Move to the old city of Suchitoto with a colonial architecture. The name in Nahuatl means "place of birds and flowers", walk through the town of cobbled streets, beautiful view of Lake Suchitlán, visit the Church. Lunch at a restaurant in town. Return to San Salvador.
Day 3: Volcanoes Complex and Route of Colonial Towns. Departure after breakfast to the Volcano Complex, to admire the beautiful cone of Izalco Volcano, 1 hour walk by the sighting of the Cerro Verde, Ilamatepec Volcano and Lake Coatepeque. Then, transfer to have lunch in one of the 3 colonial towns to visit: Juayúa, Apaneca and Concepcion de Ataco with a lot of handicrafts, paintings and colorful blankets made in ancient looms. Back to the Hotel in the City (Overnight in Apaneca Optional).
Day 4: Antigua Guatemala. After breakfast, transfer to Antigua Guatemala (4 hours). Sighting of the Fire Volcano and Acatenango. Evening free to enjoy the surroundings. Lodge at Antigua Guatemala.
Day 5: Antigua City Tour and back. Check out after breakfast. Transfer to enjoy a tour of Hotel Casa Santo Domingo, San Francisco Church (Santo Hermano Pedro), "Las Capuchinas" Convent, Calle del Arco, La Merced Church and the Handicraft Market. In the afternoon panoramic view of Guatemala City: visit the National Palace of Culture, visit to Plaza de la Constitution and Metropolitan Cathedral. Transfer to San Salvador. Overnight in San Salvador City.
Day 6: Transfer to Airport. Transfer to the International Airport of Comalapa to take the flight back home. Have a nice trip! End of our services.
