Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival into Bangkok
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your guesthouse. Then it’s off to the night market for an evening of exploration and noodles!
Day 2: Bangkok
Spend the day in Bangkok’s weekend hub:Chattuchak Market. This huge metropolis of a market contains everything under the (very hot) sun – hours of fun exploring, snacking at the vast array of foodstalls and immersing yourself in one of Bangkok’s best traditions – bargain hunting. If you still have the energy, follow this with a night out at a Thai live music bar.
Day 3: Bangkok
Visit the Grand Palace and Wat Pho – two of Bangkok’s greatest temples – and then travel up the Chao Phraya River for lunch. Passing temples, wonderful teak houses and even the Kings’ Barge, this river trip shows you the real soul of the city. Finally, travel back down the river and tour Phra Arthit and Khao San – Bangkok’s art, student and infamous backpacker centers.
Day 4: Lopburi
Take the train to Lopburi, your home for the next 7 days. Spend the afternoon exploring this historical town with its ancient temples - and fending off the monkeys!
Day 5: Lopburi
Thai language lessons - Thais love visitors who try to speak their language and this lesson will certainly give you some of the basics to practice on the locals!
Day 6 to 8 - 3 Day Temple Experience near Lopburi
Enter the temple to spend 3 days learning meditation and traditional Thai massage. Living in the temple, you must take care to respect the monks and their routines, but you’ll have an incredible and rare opportunity to spend time in a traditional Thai temple that isn’t set up with tourists. An authentic once in a lifetime.
Day 9: Lopburi
Time to relax and explore: look around the local temples, practice your new language skills or just relax and enjoy the slow pace of life – it’s up to you.
Day 10: Kanchanaburi
Travel to the beautiful town of Kanchanaburi in the west of Thailand and settle into your floating “guesthouse” on the river. This province is famous for its rivers, waterfalls, forests and relaxed atmosphere – the perfect location for a couple of days’ exploring.
Days 11 - 12: Kanchanaburi
These two days are free for you to explore Kanchanaburi and the local area. You have plenty of options, ranging from elephant treks to visiting the famous ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’, exploring the nearby waterfalls, going to the Tiger Temple or simply relaxing by the river watching the world go by. Your guide can point you in the right direction for all the activities in the area (Note: These optional activities are not included in the price of the tour).
Day 13: Bangkok
Travel back to Bangkok by bus and either relax at the guesthouse or explore the city further.
Day 14: Chumphon
Travel by bus to the Southern province of Chumphon and spend the evening relaxing by the beach. Chumphon is a beautiful province with a great combination of hills, stunning beaches and friendly, laid back Southern Thais.
Day 15: Chumphon.
At last! A day on the beach and a chance for some swimming, snorkelling and relaxation. Cabana beach is one of the province’s best kept secrets and ideal for topping up your tan.
Day 16: Chumphon
Cooking Lessons - not only will you learn to cook some great Thai dishes but you'll also have the fun of buying ingredients in the local market.
Day 17: Chumphon
Visit and work on a Thai community farm. During the day you’ll tour the farm, learn how the community live and might even help harvest (depending on the time of year). Lunch is shared with the community giving you the opportunity to learn how most Thais really live. This insight into Thailand’s rural life is an experience that few visitors get.
Day 18: Koh Tao
Transfer by boat to the stunning island of Koh Tao – famous for its diving and beautiful beaches (Note: your guide leaves the tour at this point after introducing you to our team based on Koh Tao).
Days 19 - 26: Koh Tao
A choice of either participating in a conservation project or relaxing on the beach. The project works with the local community to ensure that this island remains beautiful for generations to come. Activities are as diverse as litter collection and language games with the local children – it’s a genuine grassroots, community-based initiative!
Day 27: Bangkok
Travel from Koh Tao back up to Bangkok. Transfer to the Guest House.
Day 28: Bangkok
Free day in Bangkok. After breakfast take the opportunity to do some last minute shopping, sightseeing or just relax by the pool at the Guest House! In the evening there is a farewell dinner.
Day 29: Return Home
Travel back to the airport or onwards for further travels. Whichever it may be you'll have had the most amazing trip, met some wonderful people and gained a great insight into this wonderful country.
Please note that the return transfer to the airport is not included in the fee – we’re pretty sure you’re going to want to carry on exploring Thailand!!!
