The United Kingdom produces some of the best in the performing arts anywhere in the world. London's West End has over 40 theatres, concert halls and the Royal Opera House. Stratford on Avon is the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Other British cities such as Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham have thriving repertory theatres companies and concert venues. Edinburgh has its renowned festival. There are also outdoor touring companies who perform at such venues as the spectacular cliff top Minack theatre in Cornwall and stately homes across the country over the summer. There are also rock and folk festivals across Britain from the Isle of Wight in the south of England to the Orkney Islands off the north of Scotland. I am John Greenwood and through my independent travel company, Select Sojourning Solutions, I can put together a customized tour for you which incorporates the genres and performances you want to see. You could also attend a book festival such as at Hay on Wye. I will plan and arrange the itinerary with quality B&B accommodation en route. You will also see the scenic British countryside, eat and drink in inns and pubs. You can also sightsee amongst castles, stately homes, museums, art galleries, cathedrals etc. I will accompany througout so you don't have the hassle of finding where places are or driving on the left hand side of the road etc. I only cater for small private groups so you won't be packaged in any way. The choice of what you see and do is entirely yours.
