Day 1 - Depending on the route we can visit the ancient capital of Dacia after the Roman conquest, Sarmizegetusa Regia, an impressing city once, or Tismana Monastery and Muierii Cave. Meeting the tourists at the airport, transfer to Baile Herculane. Presentation of the resort's history and accommodating at the guesthouse. Dinner.
Day 2 - After breakfast we will climb up the Tasna Valley. The canyon and the waterfall with the same name offer a splendid view and the limestone cliffs make you feel like you are much higher in the mountains. Presentation of the fauna and flora of the region and of the legends about the gold seekers. Return to the guesthouse, dinner.
Day 3 - Breakfast. Visit of the resort with its famous healing sources. Then we will climb to the White Cross up the Domogled Mountain, a natural reserve. Although vipers can be seen in the area the bites are very rare. Visit of the Soroniste Cave and descent along the Feregari creek valley, nearby some tall rock walls where climbers can be often spotted. Return at the guesthouse, dinner.
Day 4 - After breakfast we will travel by car to the picturesque road along the Cerna River up to a big lake from where we have a magnificent view of the massive Godeanu Mountains (2500 m). Then we will visit the Sources of Cerna, where the water bursts from underground after an unknown course. The water’s temperature is the same through summer and winter: 7° Celsius. On the way back we stop to visit the Corcoaia Gorges where we can have lunch. Return to the guesthouse and dinner.
Day 5 - Breakfast. We will take the car to the initial point of the trail to Vanturatoarea Waterfall. In a sunny day we can admire the rainbow that is forming in the watery veils. Then we climb on the plateau above the waterfall where we can have a picnic and admire the magnificent view that is opening there. Return to the guesthouse, dance and laughs, dinner.
Day 6 - After breakfast we will visit the Prisacina village that lies on a high and remote plateau. We admire the picturesque surroundings then we meet the locals and their traditions. We can participate at the hay mowing or other season labors. Return to the guesthouse. Dinner.
Day 7 - Breakfast. Today we will visit Grota Haiducilor (Brigand’s Cave) near Herculane then we will climb to the Steaming Cave. We return to Roman Hotel where we visit the roman baths’ museum and we relax in the thermal pool, sauna or massage. After dinner we will probably have the best sleep in the whole trip…
Day 8 - After breakfast and boarding, we still have time to do some climbing on the cliffs near Roman Hotel before leaving for Cluj or Bucharest. Depending on the route we take, we can visit the Sarmizegetusa citadel, capital of Dacia before the roman conquest, with its unique astrological sanctuary, or the architectural complex in Targu Jiu, created by the famous Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi, and Polovragi Cave. Transfer to the airport.
